Do you have a special movie that you like to watch at the holidays? What makes them so special to you? I love watching Sleepy Hollow at Halloween...my Nephew loves that movie and we like to watch it together. At Thanksgiving I like to watch Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving, we used to always watch it when we were kids. And at Christmas I like to watch The Grinch...I think that is a hilarious movie. Do you like the new holiday movies or do you prefer the old ones that you watched as kids?

Yes I do, twoey. I think the old holiday movies are the best, but I do like some of the newer ones also. I like any of the Halloween movies for Halloween; no special one for Thanksgiving; and Home Alone is my hands-down favorite for Christmas. I have always loved that movie. I do like The Grinch also.

Home Alone is definitely a great "Christmas Classic"! I love that movie channels play it throughout the year...it gives you a little Christmas Spirit whenever it's on.

I like watching Halloween Town (disney movie) with my mom's fiance's kids at Halloween. I don't really have a favorite that I watch at Thanksgiving. At Christmas I always have to watch It's A Wonderful Life.

When Christmas rolls around I have to watch 'The Grinch' and '42nd Street' each year! My children all love The Grinch as well, and never tire of our tradition (they are ages 17-26 now!). The message in the movie is so wonderful!

Other then Christmas there is no holiday that I can say this is my favorite movie to watch every Valentine's day or Thanksgiving. Easter I do think of the movie the Robe if I think I would like to watch a biblical based movie. But between Christmas Eve and Boxing Day I do really like to watch White Christmas! I don't manage to get the movie in every year but I will if I can as it is one of my must do things at Christmas time.

My family like to watch movies on Christmas Eve with snack food. For many years we would watch Lethal Weapon One. I know it is an action film but it is one of our favorites. The movie has lots of action and it does take place around Christmas. However, about three years ago my husband and daughter discovered the movie called Santa Claus with Tim Allen. There is not a Santa Claus two the Mrs. Claus. We watch both movies now on Christmas Eve. Hopefully the third Santa Claus movie will be released on dvd this year. That will make it three movie to watch on Christmas Eve. Now that my daughter is older and knows there is no Santa I do not make her go to bed early. Christmas Eve is a family meal and play time.

I love A Christmas Carol. I watch it every year, every version they show, the old and the new. Around Halloween any good scary movie will do LOL. I only live a few miles from Sleepy Hollow, so maybe this year I will treat myself to a headless horseman hayride instead of watching the movie ;)

I have to watch *It's a Wonderful Life* with Jimmy Stewart and Mickey Rooney every Christmas Eve. It is like a tradition now. I even bought the movie. I think it portrays the true meaning of the holiday season.

I have a couple of Christmas movies that are holiday traditions. One of them is "It's A Wonderful Life." I like to watch it on Christmas Eve. The other movie I like to watch during the holidays is "Miracle on 34th Street." I like to watch the original AND the newer version. I also like to watch a lot of the animated specials during the holiday season.

Holiday Affair - showing of DVD Holiday Affair(1949) starring Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh.
When I was a kid, I loved Rudolph and Santa Claus is coming to town. That was tradition. I also loved watching "It's a Wonderful Life" to start off the holiday season after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade(which IS a tradition for me)and you know, they took that off here for the dog show. ticked off some folks here mind you. I also loved watching "Miracle on 34th Street" with Maureen O'Hara and Natalie Wood. and the one with Sebastian Cabot as well. and I also have to watch a Christmas movie with Janet Leigh, Robert Mitchum (Holiday Affair). That is a must.

Oh gosh! Sleepy Hollow was a good movie, but too scary for me. I don't think I could see it again. Too graphic lol. I always loved watching the family channel movie, Hocus Pocus at Halloween. It's a really fun(ny) movie and me and my siste both enjoy it. It's always on during Halloween, and I never miss it! :) I love watching the 30 Days of Halloween on ABC Family. It's a great maraton! :)
