I am a girl and don't know much about boy puberty. He is only 8 but recently even after baths he will get body odor. I have gotten him deodorant and it works but isn't that kinda young to get it? I didn't start using it until I was about 12 and my daughter started when she was 11. Could he be starting some of the stuff from puberty?

Something else you might try is baking soda or white vinegar in his bath Baking soda obsorbe orders and vinegar is a disinfectant. It won't hurt him and the smell dose'n't last long but will kill any bacteria that remains on the skin. With the use of lights long after the sun goes down and the harmone injicted in to the meat and milk producing animals that people eat it's no wonder that kids are thrown in to puberty so early. It use to be that puberty was coming about the age of 14 and 15.

He does use some milk products but doesn't eat meat, but yes I agree that they are getting into puberty earlier. I will try the baking soda thing. It works on so much other stuff I am sure that would help. Thanks

He actually could be starting puberty. Since today, they inject foods with all these hormones. But you can always ask his doctor to just in case. Good luck with everything!

That is true. We try to have as much organic foods as possible. We are vegetarian and watch what we eat. But still it is possible there are stuff coming through, thanks!

maybe he is a super active kid that's why he sweat so much and produce body odor. or maybe he wears clothes that he has already worn before without being washed. there are a lot of reasons behind body odor but first and foremost its the personal hygiene. and then maybe, its because of the food he eats. maybe he loves spices too much. my former boss loves eating raw and he has this awful body odor. ^__^;; too much spices especially chilly can cause body odor. i dont think making him use deodorant is not bad. although its odd because the usual age we use deo is when we reach teenage years. if the deo works then why not. ^__^

My son has recently started having to wear deodorant. He came home from school one day and had the worst B.O. He will be 8 in January. He has started putting it on every morning before school and at night before bed even.
