Well, here we go again. Close on the heels of the announcement that high levels of lead were found in many Halloween products in Ohio, there was an announcement that it has also been found in Boy Scout badges. And, yes, the items in question were produced in China. I just don't get it-or maybe it is our government that just doesn't get it?

I think the government isn't getting it! Why continue to produce items in China that are a health hazard for our children? Because it is cheaper than producing them in USA. The Government should make it more difficult for companies that are producing items in China. Just my opinion.

I get the feeling, naty, that the government couldn't care less about what happens to our children and grandchildren. If they did this problem would never have been allowed to grow all out of proportion as it now is.

Isn't it crazy? You just don't know whether to buy anything anymore. I think the government had better step in and make things right. They have let so many of the good jobs go to other countries and it is getting to the point that almost anything you buy has something in it made from a foriegn country.

You are so right, Thoroughrob. It's nearly impossible to go into any store and walk out with a product made in the USA. I think the government is just spinning it's wheels, because they have created this monster that is now running amok.

I guess the public just hasn't made a big enough fuss yet for our government to care.

For some reason I'm not surprised at this news! It seems to be showing up in everything we are getting from China now. You would think we would stop since they seem to be trying to kill us off...lol...

The country has been doing this since the 90s at least and it got worse in the 2000s. No the government really doesn't get it. In fact some ports stateside and some shipping bypasses from Central American countries are also used by certain Chinese interests to help get their goods in country. Its really something, I'm surprised the current empty suits and the flapping heads that want to rule the world, I meant become President, haven't really got on this. Oh wait, no I'm not surprised, I forgot who I was talking about. -_- Its very discouraging. I would advise everyone to inspect what you take in and buy, you never know. And if you get sick seemingly at random or when you brought in something, its time to see a doctor and check up on what you recently bought.
