I came by to Squidoo.com by accident and it allows you to make simple websites and promote your stuff (could be products, websites etc.), and since there are ads in their site, you could earn from it too. So, how's your experience with it so far and if you use it, do you like it?

I like using Squidoo immensely. I use it primarily to promote my artwork. Here is my first squidoo lens for the promotion of my work: http://www.squidoo.com/ninakuriloff/ I recently started another lens about the artwork of one of my favorite artists who is Georgia O'Keeffe. I am enjoying building this lens, which is a work in progress: http://www.squidoo.com/gokeeffe/ What I find enjoyable about using Squidoo is the ability to organize information very easily. I think that Squidoo lens may be good promotional tools, too.

Very interesting and organized! Do you really get more traffic to your blog and ebay auctions? Do you promote your lens?

I definitely get views to my blog resulting from my Squidoo lens. As far as views go to my ebay auctions, I do not know. The only thing I do to promote my lens is to work on updating it at least 3 times per week. The updating of my lens does help to raise its rank amongst other lens, etc. Other artists I know think that their lens' are good promotional tools. I have given you all of the information I have about Squidoo lens. But wait! There's actually more! lol There are groups on Squidoo and one can submit one's lens to group lenses. My lens is now part of several squidoo lens' on the top of art. Squidoo lens' are written on a broad variety of subject topics. i hope i have provided you with some help on this subject. :)

I've got two squidoo lenses and I do think they are a good idea. My favorite thing about them is that you can donate some (or all) of your profits to various charities that you choose and the site takes care of it. I use squidoo when I've got something I want to share with others that's too long to put in my blog, so I use it like an extention of my blog. For instance I have a how-to guide for people who are new to working online that is a lens and another one that I use to promote Yuwie and myLot that explains the two sites and gives ideas for using them both.

Interesting! Thanks for giving me some insights! You're really the expert (in my opinion!). Oh I made one today just to experiment it and I quite like it. I am thinking of how it would benefit me from using it, I need to find tune it and sort of figure out. So, do you indeed promote your lens too?

Awww thanks! I'm no expert at Squidoo but I try. I promote it sometimes but not as much as I should. I will make one or two more this week and work on promoting them more in my blogs and here and Yuwie. I've wanted to get into niche sites and I think Squidoo is a great way to break into it w/out having to have your own hosting. Of course you don't earn as much but if you select the right target audience and display the right products, like via amazon let's say, then I think in theory it should really work.

That one is high on my list of To-Do's and thanks for reminding me. I noticed a lot of nice articles on myLot over there, and although the whole concept looks a little complicated at first glance I'm impressed with what I've seen so far.

Yes I just finished making one for trial (on a product I want to sell), and it isn't as complicated as it looks. Now I want to explore more ways to play with it *smiles*. Gee, I got up at 5.30am and wanted to play with squidoo! I am going MAD (with British accent)! *laughs*
