Data Entry payouts - fact or myth?

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has found a legitimate home based business site that specializes in data entry. I'm currently wanting to make some extra money, as I'm having trouble meeting my mortgage repayments, and I don't want to lose my house. I've searched the internet, but haven't been able to find a legitimate site as yet, only 'training' offers that cost you money to undertake. I've worked in data entry before, so this isn't something I need to undertake. If anyone has anywhere they could point me to, I'd be extremly grateful.

You probably won't find many legitimate work at home opportunities for data entry. The only way to find something legitimate that also will pay you a reasonable fee for your time is to find a job the traditional way, and look into companies that will allow you to telecommute. They may require you to go into an office until they get to know you and what you are capable of. Temp agencies sometimes have date entry jobs, and occasionally you can build trust with a company and if they really like you maybe they will allow you to work from home. The main issue is that you would be entering date that may be proprietary information and they won't want the data to leave the building. Another way is to take a medical transcriptionist course. Again, you will be working perhaps for a more traditional employer but you will be able to work from home.

I don't know. I think all the data enrty is a myth. I tried to join one of such schemes, but no use.
