I see a lot of discussions about the wonders of yuwie but none defending mylot. let me be the first!! i tried yuwie and found the relationship between friends cold and distant. Im sorry if i have offended a lot of people, but it is time someone stood up for mylot on mylot!

I just have to disagree with you slightly on this one. :) I found that I was warmly welcomed by many people on Yuwie, I had 70+ requests within a few hours of joining. Not that many here on myLot, but the friends I do have on here are more genuine. I did find that there were a lot of "sharks" on Yuwie. I found that some of the people so warmly welcoming me were only out for future page views, and they got deleted. lol I hardly joined Yuwie to make money.....lets face it, the money to be made requires referrals and that I didnt have and didnt plan on getting anytime soon. I was there to be the social butterfly that I consider myself to be. Kudos for supporting myLot! I like it here too! Bay xx

Like others said, the two places are entirely different. Yuwie is more like a Myspace site that pays. It's kind of tough to explain MyLot, but it's more like one of those forums, but not quite as organized as with like those built with phpBB/VBulletin/Invision & other standard forum / bulletin board software. However, in the clubs & on your blog, you can pretty much post anythign you want, while MyLot deletes anything that they feel like deleting, even if it is guideline-compliant.

I have lost 3 myself, & i even have friends who have had discussions deleted. The worse thing is, when you ask, you don't get answers.

I wouldn't say Yuwie is boring but I sort of see what you mean when you say "cold and distant". I think it's the format that gives that impression. It took me a while to get used to Yuwie and at first I didn't think I would like it. Too much like MySpace and I HATE MySpace (but then I'm not a hormonal teenager anymore which seems to be the majority of MySpace members). It's not as easy as myLot either - it requires a bit more effort. I like both Yuwie and myLot but I tend to spend more time on here. However I have friends on Yuwie that aren't on here so I try to go on there at least once every couple of days.

i am a member of Yuwie, and i for one do not find it boring at all. i love the sit and there are so many mylot members over there it's a blast. now mylot is my friend and i am going to be here as long as mylot will have me. but to say Yuwie is boring i would not agree at all. i guess we are all entitled to our opinions

I certainly respect your love of mylot, I enjoy my time here as well. But comparing Mylot to Yuwie is like well comparing an apple to an orange, or black to white. there are advantages to both places. Each site different in its own individual way. One can not replace the other.

good point! but i started this discussion mainly because i feel it is rude the amount of discussions that promote yuwie and encourage people to leave mylot. no one seems to back mylot. is mylot that bad? i had a relative that got me involved in mylot and he has now left mylot. he said it was the stalking and deletions that chased him away. that is the members that do that. they will go to yuwie too!

i have cottoned on to the 'admin gods' comment!! i reckon that yuwie is mylot but with the lessons learnt! who else would have the backup to be so big so quickly?

Its not for me a matter of learning, I like both, I am a member of both. I enjoy both. One truly does not replace the other. There is no right or wrong here. Have I had discussions deleted? Yes I have, but I knew it would be when I started it. The thing is I enjoyed that conversation, the ones that participated in it knew it was going to be deleted, so the 1 or 2 pennies did not make a difference. What was important was the company. That is not to say I have not earned my fair share here I do and will continue to do so. But Yuwie is not Mylot. Nor is Mylot Yuwie.

Many times I tried to sign up for YUWIE, but I found myself typing in the secret code several times and can never be confirmed. I'm actually stuck with mylot for now. This is the only social network I'm a member to.

I am member of both, I find times to check both sites whenever I get online. Though mylot is my first earning site to join at, I believe that I didn't registered here to earn and be payed with a hefty some. I enjoy both, I don't compare them with one over the other because I they offer different features. I enjoy mylot because I get to chat with people and discuss issues here, plus I get to learn new things from them too. As for Yuwie, I registered there to be with my friends who were disgruntled by this site's flaws. I don't consider earning on yuwie, I was there to enjoy and add more friends. I also love their features in creating profile, which I find is alot easier than customizing mine here on mylot..

well I have to agree with you on that one. But on top of it being boring to me, it is also hard to get around, and every time I get on that site, my pc stops responding LOL. So what is up with that?

I am a member of both sites. For me, they serve two entirely different purposes. Yuwie is about building up a large network of contacts so when I give a shout out about my next big priject, a couple of hundred people hear about it all at once. MyLot is more about relaxing and talking with my friends. Yeah, Yuwie seems cold and distant to me--only recently have I stumbled upon some profiles with the same religion as I have, so that might change. Or maybe not. I have talked about both Yuwie and MyLot on my writing blog. As I said here and there, the two sites for me serve two different purposes.

hate to break it to you kid, but you aren't the first one to say this. You aren't the only one to feel this way and there have been plenty of posts similar to this. People talked yuwie up so much and then the moment payday didn't come... it was talked down. also...just to let you know, you won't be the last to say this either.

Im sorry you felt this way about yuwie. I personally would rather spend hours talking to the many good friends i have on yuwie making money (how ever little it is) then on mylot. the other day i posted over 25 posts (i wanted to get my star) and you know what i made all of 12 cents wow i think i made more on yuwie talking to people on a personal level then talking to people i dont know trying to make sense of what people on mylot has had to say

I second you. Yuwie is not for me, either. I ind MyLot more interesting and sociable than Yuwie. However I don't think it's true that noone standup for MyLot. In fact there are manny people that say Yuwie is dissed here for no reason.

I also am a member of Yuwie and I am still not sure what they really do there but I joined it because it was a new place and most of my friends from here are there. I love MyLot and there is no other place better then here. MyLot forever and first.

I don't think it is boring , I really like it but I do find that the way I feel right now means that I can't concentrate and it gets very confusing for me so I am there a lot less than I am on mylot! Just cos people like Yuwie doesn't mean they don't like mylot too! xxx

Can I be in the anti-Yuwie club? I thought I would check it out from curiosity of seeing so much about it on MyLot, but it was lame. I didn't care for it at all and I didn't see the thrill of it. Making the profile was a pain enough. I also hear that it's harder to make money on Yuwie than on MyLot.
