To get or not to get responses , discussions are to be visible first .Otherwise , there is little chance to get resposes . What is the basis on which will this chance depend ? Is it the current rating of the initiator of the discussion , the tag of the discussion, the topic of discussion, the interest of the advertisers or what ?

Tags are used to group discussions that are similar together. I started a discussion on head lice, and at the end of my list, was quite a few others regarding head lice as well. Some people search for certain names, words, topics, etc. I am going through at the moment and responding to all topics with no answers to them. The current rating is how many discussions you have started, or responded to, so mine is currently 397, and will be 398 when I do this.

I now understand the role played by the tags . I usually don't add tags to my discussions .Thanks for you enlightening information .

This is something I really want to know myself. Some of my topics get no response at all. All the while I have one that is constantly getting responses. I have noticed that the controversial ones and the ones that require simple answers get alot of hits.
