If you take a daily vitamin pill (or pills), did you ever know that vitamins and other supplements in pill form are often not absorbed by your body at all? That, in fact, intact tablets with the company logo still legible have been found at sewage treatment and disposal sites? If you could would you prefer taking a liquid supplement that was 100% absorbed?

No I don't take any vitamins, I think your wrong though on this.. I mean why when your pregnant does a doctor give you these vitamin's... They did work for me so I do think they are absorbed in some way.. So they are absorbent...

Supplements are a daily part of my life. I still prefer the tablets and capsule form than liquid ones. At least if the vitamin doesn't taste well, you won't have that after taste you get when taking it in liquid form. I once open up a vitamin pill I was taking and tried to see if the gel really dissolves when taken. Luckily after a few hours of immersing it in water, I see the gel melt and that made me go on taking the vitamin. Otherwise, I would have stopped taking it.

The problem is you said it melted after a few hours immersed in water; it could have gone all through your system before it was melted. I've found some liquid supplements that actually taste pretty good. I couldn't swallow pills until a few years ago so I really appreciated being able to find liquids.

I take a daily vitamin supplement. The food we take now does not have as much of the vitamins that the food we used to have. Therefore vitamin supplements are a necessity.

I hear there are some that are better than others, but they are more expensive because they are made from natural rather than artificial products.

I was once told by my sister, anniepa, that her doctor said everyone over the age of 50 should take vitamins. I don't know how true this is(I have never been told this by my doctor), but I never take vitamins. I have enough to contend with taking my daily regimen of medications. Knowing what I know about vitamins, I would prefer to take them in a form that would ensure absorption.
