Yes,here comes a rant! I am so tired of stupid and ignorant people! If it wasn't for my husband, my behind would be in jail for murder today. First let me say,my husband knows my temper and my tendency to stand up for people that can't defend themselves. We went shopping yesterday and as we walked back to the car, there was this chubby girl who was mentally challenged, collecting shopping carts. She was happy, smiling and minding her own business doing her job. Then I saw these 3 b1tches, who were in front of us in the checkout lane, sitting in their car making fun of that girl!! I was fuming, but one look from my husband told me he saw it too and at the same time that look begged me not to do anything I would regret. I love and respect my husband and don't want to embarass him, but if I was alone I would have yanked them skinny b1tches out of their car and beat the ignorance and stupidity right out of them! I dare these lowlifes making fun of a girl who probably can't defend herself! I hope each of them gives birth to triplest with down syndrome so that they will know what it feels like to sit on the other side of the fence! That girl was so innocent and friendly, she greeted me and asked how I was doing and even asked my husband if everything was ok when she saw he was doing something on the car. I swear,if I ever see those b1tches aging, I don't care what kind of looks I get from my hubby I will beat the living daylights out of them!

I am right there behind you on this one, I hate stupid people that make fun of mentally challenged people and wish the worst for them. The only thing is with me is that I would of went to the car with the b!tches in it and had to make a scean with them and I would not care who was around at the time. My boyfriend always says that my mouth gets the better of me most of the time and that I speak before I think what I am doing on things like this, LOL. Way to go for the challenged people of the world we love them.

My husband is always so worried about me getting in trouble, that's why he is holding me back from lashing out at people like this. He used to say "go get em honey" lol. But he mellowed out a lot I guess, I haven't though. I say, if we don't stand up for defenseless people, then who will?

I wonder if most people even know what good manners is anymore. It is just ridiculous how little people care about those around them. I would not have beat them up but I probably would have gone over and told them how rude they were being. With young people, there is such pressure to be just like everyone else, yet history has shown that the innovators, inventors and such people were different. So, when people make fun of those not like them, they may be making fun of the next Einstein, Socrates or Thomas Edison.

I wanted to cuss them out badly and I know with those attitudes they had a fight would have been a given. I think it's sad that people like this can't see that there is nothing wrong with being different and, like you said, it's the people that are different who often make a difference in our lives.

Ooooh I know that look!!! I get it quite often myself from my husband AND my kids cause they all know what my temper is like and I, like you, tend to defend those who can't do it themselves...and I CAN NOT STAND ppl like what you described! Male, female, young, old doesnt matter...I despise that sort of behaviour and attitude and OMG! watch me go if the one being picked gets upset because they hear whats being said etc etc.... "I love and respect my husband and don't want to embarass him, but if I was alone I would have yanked them skinny b1tches out of their car and beat the ignorance and stupidity right out of them!" Same here....I have ZERO tolerance for ppl like that and just standing idlely by doing nothing is not something I care for in the least BUT when I'm hot to begin with and a$$holes like that get me even hotter I have respect my husbands wishes and NOT go off...Mind you its not just for the wellbeing of the a-hole, its also because my temper when set off is quite violent in a very evil way ya know so i think he is more worried about me than them if that makes sense.....

It's a shame that ppl like that have to feel better about themselves by picking on someone who probably can't defend herself. I wouldn't wish Down Syndrome kids on them b/c I think it would be terrible for a child like that to have to have ppl like that for parents but I would wish that someone would make them feel the same way they tried to make that girl feel. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

That is awful to hear. I do not blame you for being upset. People can be really cruel and mean. I never understood that myself. I do believe in karma though and I bet those women will get what is coming to them. That would have made me upset too.

Way to go, Riptide! Count me in. I have a nephew who is autistic. At 14 years of age and 6 feet tall, he is very smart (math genius), loving, and has a wicked sense of humour. He also loves music and plays the drums. When out in public, though, he gets very defensive and clings to his mother and acts like a toddler. What irks me is seeing the looks we get, and I have a very difficult time biting my tongue at the insensitive idiots who laugh and point. People can be very mean and clueless, I agree, and sometimes you have to (literally) sit on your hands to avoid smacking them down they need it so bad!!! However, I agree with another poster who wrote that karma will surely give those *itches what they deserve...God bless you for feeling the way you do! Do you remember that song "Bless the beasts and the children"? That song always makes my heart ache and it always comes to mind when I encounter situations similar to what you described about that sweet kid collecting the shopping carts. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving....

There are just people in this world who only feels good about themselves by pulling others down. But no matter what, I would say that the girl with down syndrome is much happier than those girls. I pity them actually that despite their full faculties they seem so lacking in compassion and most people who are like that are those who themselves are lost inside. The girl is too beautiful to be affected by their snide remarks and that is in itself make her way above them.

It never ceases to amaze me how some people treat others. Making fun of or harming those that cannot defend themselves is "fun" for those that are ignorant and insecure about their own beings. I don't understand it and never will! I truly believe in "What goes around comes around" and one day, hopefully sooner than later, these girls will have a rude awakening and realize the errors of their ways. They already have their own handicap, one they have chosen to give to themselves. PEACE

I don't blame you I'm upset just reading this. People like that make me so sick to my stomach. I would have done something, I don't care who's around, I would have stood up for that girl and beat the crap out of those girls.
