Why can't I find the African American princesses dolls, books, and bedroom sets?

My two year old daughter loves to play dress up and she loves to pretend that she's a princess. I want to decorate her bedroom with the princess theme but I want it to be African American since she is my black princess. Where can I find decorations, princess dolls, and books like us? Do they exist?

I think it is because there are many shades of African American and you have to get one that matches your daughter's skin tone. If she is dark, then there is usually no problem, but what if she is light to medium skinned? Also what kind of culture are you raising her in? African Americans who live in the Ghettos are different from those who live in a Middle Class environment and those who are from the Southern rural areas different from those who live in the cities. It is not like white, a middle class theme can cover most of us. So you might have to go to some place like Amazon.com.

We live in a diverse middle class area with people of all races in my neighborhood. I was also born and raised in a very rural area and I don't really see much difference in the people in the country, rural/middle class, suburb middle class, city middle class, the only difference that I see is that people of all races in the more rural areas are more friendly. As far as the shade of black it really does not matter what color shade of black it is. That's what makes us unique. I think that white ghetto, middle class, and southern rural areas are also different, but to a child it really does not matter.
