There must be something about the Mustang that just invites people to be rude to me (maybe they think it's a teenagers car?) I seem to hardly ever encounter really rude people but twice now in the week or so I've had the car I've enountered people being downright rude. The first time (some of you may recall my disussion "Rude people on the road") was when I was having car trouble while driving. The car had no power on hills and someone rode right up on my bumper and refused to pass (even though I was going extremely slow and had my four ways on and it was in a passing zone) and then blared their horn at me when I pulled off to let them by... This latest time of dealing with a rude person was on Friday. I stopped at the store for milk. The gas deliery truck was blocking all the regularparking spaces so I pulled up behind to other cars at the top of the driveway leading to the back of the store. I shut the car off and was fixing my wind blown hair. The gas delivery truk (18 wheeler) suddenly pulled forward towards me (perpendicular) and stopped not 2 feet from my passenger side door! Then he started blaring his air horn at me! Just my luck the starter on the car decided to quit working at that very moment so I couldn't start the car to move out of his way. Then he jumped out of his truck, came up to the car, threw his arms up and YELLED at me "I need that space NOW!" Then he got back in his truk, slammed the door and kept reving his engine at me. After a minute of that he threw the truck in reverse and went back to where he was parked in the first place. I have no idea why he so desperately needed that tiny little space I was parked in. He NEVER gave any indication that he needed that spot until pulling right up to the car. He was (in my opinion) totally out of line for yelling at me like that. And then even after he realized that I couldn't get out of his way because the car wouldn't start he didn't apologize...if he'd at least done that I wouldn't have been as angry. I have his name anyway and I will be calling the company he works for. I think they should know how their drivers conduct themselves. (The car is fix again...for now LOL)

His boss apologized and told me they didn't tolorate that kind of behavior from their drivers. He took my phone number and address and told me I would be hearing back from them with a "resolutition". I haven't gotten anything yet but I wasn't too concerned, I just wanted the boss to know.

sounds terrible, but it seems that you have a lot of patience and that is a powerful virtue that most of us don't have. your patience will pay off and i would call his employer myself too. i only hope that he feels like the jerk that he is.

Patience? Yes, normally I do,it's just running a little thin right now. I did call his employer but haven't heard anything back yet.

Good grief! You have had all the luck lately! Good that you got that man's company name etc. He does need to be reported! That was just crazy!

To me it sounds more like you are having run in's with some very rude people themselves. This always seems to happen in streaks with me...I can go for months without having a rude episode as I like to call them and then all of the sudden I will run into person after person that just insists on acting like they are all important and in too much of a hurry to respect other people and what they are trying to accomplish. Oh well, such is life I guess. Glad to hear the car is fixed. :)

Hopefully my streak is over for now! And saying "the car is fixed now" seems like it will be a weekly statement LOL...if it's not one thing it's another!

lol, I know exactly how you feel. My car got totaled about two weeks ago and we were having a hard time finding another one. Now I have one, but I am starting to feel like it will be a marathon race to keep it out of the repair shop! We shall see and hope for the best. Good luck to you too.
