Our Children's Lives

I'm interested to know what you all think about the way we are bringing up our children these days? I think that Jamie Oliver did a very brave thing in the UK going to all those schools and forcing the government to take notice of the rubbish we were feeding our children. We are all aware that obesity is a HUGE problem within our country and I fear that children don't like not being able to eat pizza and chips at school anymore and parents are giving in and sending them to school with packed lunches. Also it has recently come to my attention that more sickness days are a result of depression and stress within the workplace, than they have ever been before. Could these medical conditions have been faced head on and prevented if we spent more time nuturing our children from an earlier age?
