Are there any books that you have read that you would love to see be made into a movie. There are tons for me! Here are a few I wouldn't mind seeing on the silver screen. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon (Stephen King) My Brother Sam Is Dead Contest (Matthew Reilly) Riptide (Catherine Coultir) and ALL of Michael Connellys Books

Being a Stephen King fan, there are a couple of books I would love to see turned into movies. The first is 'The Talisman', and the other, which couldn't be made as one movie, being so big, is 'The Dark Tower' series. There are also several of King's books that have been made into movies which need to be remade, because the first attemps have been terrible!

I'm a King fan too, but I'm not sure if I know what The Talisman is. I read one book of the Dark Tower series (wolves of the calla) and I LOVED it! I would love for it to be turned into a movie too! It would be the next Lord of the Rings if they did it right. I agree that a lot of the Stephen King movies are no good. Often cheesy and just stupid! lol.

Oh. I think I have heard of The Talisman. Is there a second book to it? A sequel? yes! I think the Dark Towers would be HUGE if it was done like Lord of the Rings. I can already tell you I would be a big fan

The Talisman is about a 12yr old lad, who makes his way across America, in this world and like a parallel world, in search of a powerful talisman with which he can cure his mother who is dying of cancer. It is quite a journey, and he meets some interesting characters along the way, some trying to help, others trying to prevent him reaching this Talisman! I'd say that if the Dark Tower were made in the same way as the Rings were, it would be brilliant!

WOW! That all sounds very interesting. I'm kind of into fantasy. it isn't my favorite genre...but I enjoy Harry Pooter (book and movies), Lord of the Ring (movies), and stuff like that. Maybe I'll look intp the Deathgate novels. Now is the Sandman one an actual book or comic book?

It's a graphic novel... Look don't let the "comic book" bit throw you. This shtuff is so good, and took home so many rewards that members of a particular literary guild got so pizzed that they rewrote their bylaws so that never again could mere "comic books" win all the awards. Seriously, check it out, the artwork is fantastic (well, artwork varies, he uses a couple of different artists), but the dialogue and narration reads like prose... There are several spinoffs, but you want to read the 11 or so editions of the main series. Awesome stuff.

Rather than try to discribe a whole novel in Card's case or a whole SERIES of novels in Dragonriders, I'll just send you links to look them up yourself. But let us just say that these writers/books have won awards! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orson_Scott_Card http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_McCaffrey

Well, the directors are really making a good job translating books into visuals in the form of movies. Some of those i really enjoyed are Silence of the lambs, The godfather, Zodiac, Da vinci code etc. Though they were not exactly too equal to the books, they definitely were a real treat for the eyes and depicted the characters very finely.

I thought that the movie "The Da Vinci Code" was a little disappointing; it just did not capture the book (for me). I guess it would be better if you saw the movie first, then read the book. Can't wait for Dan Brown's next book.

*Don't hate me* I haven't read The Davinci Code...lol. I saw the movie, and it was okay. It wasn't as great as everyone made it out to be though. I love To Hanks, but not one of his best movies ever! I have no doubt the book is probably better! lol.

I am actually really looking forward to seeing the Kite Runner as a movie. I think it comes out in November of this year. I'm also looking forward to the other Harry Potter books being made into movies. I would like if they would make The Lovely Bones into a movie. I think it would be a great suspense. I'm sure there are lots more but I can't think of another right now.

"The Kite Runner" should be a great movie. I loved that book and his newest one too, "A Thousand Splendid Suns," which would also make a great movie. I just finished "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer, which is going to be coming out as a movie shortly, and I can't wait to see that movie! It's a terrific book based on a true story.

I've never heard of any of these books, but all their titles are intriguing!! lol. Into the Wild...that sounds familiar (as a movie). Do you have any movie details on it; who's in it, when it's coming out, etc?

So far, the only book that I would love to be made into movie was Jeffrey Archer's Kane and Abel. Though I've read that it was made into a tv series long ago, I would love to see it on the big screen. The story is really heart-warming, a drama and series of events that both characters didn't noticed that they were actually destined to help each other.

It's set during the 2nd World War, so I guess it's still set on present time!;) The title of the story was about their names, I really find it catchy and very intriguing at the same time!;)

I would love to see Anne Rice's vampires and mayfair witches come to life! some of them have already made into movies like Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the Damned but I stillwant to see more. I want to watch a movie about Lestat's life, Pandora, The Tale of the Body Thief, Taltos, and of course the story of the Mayfair Witches. her novels are just so amazing and interesting and I'm sure it will be a hit when made into a movie. and then i also would like to see LM Montgomery's Anne Shirley to come to life. I just love Anne Shirley series. its very classic. it can be compared to Little Women, Princess Sara and Secret Garden. ^__^

Mitch Albom is also the author of Tuesdays with Morrie and Five People You Meet in Heaven. These three books are really awesome! It's almost impossible to read the whole of one of the three books without getting your eyes wet.

I haven't read the last book; I have it, but haven't even started it lol I'm not sure I would enjoy something like A Clockwork Orange, might disturb me a little too much! x.x
