I am curious as to who out there is using Wordpress as their blog platform, and how long they have been blogging on Wordpress. I know Wordpress is one of the biggest blogging sites. I have been blogging on Wordpress for a number of months now, and I think it is fantastic. There are other great blogging sites too, like Blogger, Clearblogs, LiveJournal, Wannanetwork, Facebook, MySpace, and I use them too. I am trying to get my family into blogging and would like for them to use Wordpress since it does not have a big learning curve, and is a fun blog site. A suggestion I can offer is that anyone interested in blogging, read carefully the "help" section that most blog sites have. Some sites may even have tutorials, lessons, training, but whatever they have, read it thoroughly before posting a blog. Most questions I find, are handled in the help sections. Wordpress for examples has a very complete help, and QA section for bloggers to take advantage of. It is also a good idea to read what the blog site offers as to how and why the site was started, and who started it. I like to know where the servers are so that in case there is a problem at one server location, I can feel secure knowing that there are other server locations. Wordpress for example has servers location in different states. That really gives me piece of mind that my blogs are safe and sound. If the whole world was blogging, maybe people would stay home in their neighborhoods more.

Thanks for your post. I had not heard of Wordpress. I will have a look at it. I have joined other blog sites but I never start a blog. I just don't know that I have anything to write about. I have enough trouble writing for myLot.

About 4 years already. I use wordpress when I still had my own domain about 4 years ago. I also use wordpress when I apply for free subdomain hosting. But all of them have already expired. So now, I have a wordpress account from wordpress.com but I seldom use it that much. But right now, I am thinking of buying another domain or just applying for subdomain hosting from domain owners affering free hosting to personal websites and artworks site. And ofcourse, I'll have wordpress again. Wordpress is very easy to use and is very customizable!
