Hi friend. I am from the Philippines and I am married to a foreign nationality. Yes, there are culture differences but it depends to both of you on how you handle such issue. The main thing that you need to develop if you plan to indulge in inter-racial relationship is open-mindedness. You have to be open-minded NOT in the sense that you will grasp whatever thing is against your will but it means that you should be more than flexible to adjust to him in the same way that he is adjusting to you. BOth of you should ALWAYS meet half-way in the relationship. I was teaching when I was still in the Philippines and most of my students have foreign nationality blood (they are either 50% British, American, English, Norwegian, Dutch, Italian, Pakistan, Saudi Arabian, etc.). That's where I first encounter variety of cultures. So, basically my new situation right now is not that new to me. The second thing that you need to address is to have a good english. Well, it's not a problem on your part because I can see that you are very good in it already. Why I said that good english skills is needed? As you see, it's the medium of instruction that is being understood by many people all through out the world. Once you know how to express your thoughts fully to your foreign partner then there will be a good communication between the two of you. Remember, you have to have a very open communication in a relationship. As for me, if I don't want something, my husband can't forced me to do such. I always fight for my reasons as long as I know I am in the right track. If you really want it, don't be afraid to try BUT just be very careful. Just remember that in whatever race, there's always good and bad people.

There will no problem , but first , the relationship would be based on simplicity and acceptance of the other , we all know that in some places where our friends or mates of other countries live , we can't stay for a second but if we do understand that before , we can go further and sights will change in our thoughts and brains if love intervens there.

i think we can get along with any people from other countries if we have the same interests. i mean, i have american friends. we became friends through a similar interest. and after years of connecting through that interest, we got to know each other well, our personal lives and everything, and we's getting along fine. my point is, if you treat someone your friend, whatever his or her nationality may be, and if you are both nice to each others, then i think you'll get along very well. ^__^ same could be said too about having a foreign boyfriend. and also if you love each other, truly love each other, and you have accepted your differences and have adjusted yourself to it, then there's no problem. misunderstandings are common to couples but as long as there are room for forgiveness and acceptance, the relationship will go well. ^__^

I've seen several people have successful intercontinental based relationships. A lot of people I know went on over to the Philippines and some went to Japan to be with some lovely (both inside and out) women :) I'm not opposed to trying out and traveling either. I've even got a couple of those guys harping me to "join the fun". Creeps! :D Good luck finding what you want Xiao. Don't get discouraged.

yes i also think that you will be making friends with the foreign people but due to the differences in the cultures the relationships dont last long and you tend to get disputes in yourself and in the end you have to go for a break up.So i think you must tie the knot with your people only.

hello there. I am from Singapore. In Singapore, we have 4 races - Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian. Since young, we have been hanging out with people from different races. We usually have no problem getting along and making friends with foreigners. As a chinese myself, I would prefer having a chinese boyfriend.
