What is the worst injury you have ever accidentally inflicted on yourself? That someone else has inflicted on you? At my old job. Baskin Robbins. Some of our toppings had to be constantly heated. We had recently gotten a pump for two of them. I had noticed a few days before that when the fudge got low the pump would get air bubbles and it would do this spitting thing. Well someone kept turning the temperature up too high and it would burn the fudge so one day when we were really busy I was and in a hurry. I work very fast and multi task. Im very efficient. Anyways I was making a sundae and pushed on the pump too hard and too fast and it spit so bad that my arm from a third of the way below my wrist to the end of the ball of your shoulder was covered in fudge. Scorching hot fudge. It burned my arm so bad I started crying and had to sit with my arm in the very small sink for as long as I could which wasnt very long because I had to continue helping customers. Worst part was I wanted my boss to warn everyone that the pump can be dangerous and he didnt really seemed phased by it. By someone else...once a family member of my step moms came into the room when I was laying on my stomach watching tv. He had brought his grandmas cane with him and whacked me on the back of the legs/knee caps with it. For no reason. You dont ever want to feel that.

That sounds so painful! I guess the most serious injury I inflicted upon myself was when I was taking something out of the oven. I was cooking it on foil because at the time I didn't have a pan that could cook things in the oven. So I was trying to slide the foil out of the oven without losing the items on the foil. In trying to keep it all together, part of my hand touched the side of the oven. I had my hand under the sink for a good 8 minutes, and then I put aloe on it. It got very red, but then the skin started to peel. Thankfully there were no blisters!

Ouchies. Its a good think you didnt get blisters. Then it would have been a second degree burn and really painful!

I sued to work at McDonalds back then, I worked on the kitchen so bruises and burns are natural for me. I remember a time where I was in the grill, turning the patties. My hand would either accidentally stick on the hot grill, oils popping and sometimes experienced my apron burning. The worst injury I got was when I got an oil popped in my shirt, I didn't thought it was that serious and so I continued. But when I checked it after my duty, that's when I realized that it penetrated my shirt and I have blisters. The worst is, I accidentally picked it and it blew out. I didn't put anything into it, not even a cream because I prefer it to heal naturally. But now I have a remembrance that will bring back my memories on that certain incident, though it's not that big, it should left a scar right beside my belly-button.

That sounds very painful. Im sorry about your scar. If you really wanted it to go away you could try scar creams like mederma but you said you like it natural. Thanks for responding.

superman - i was a stupid kid
When I was a kid I was so stupid. I took this razor blade and decided to slice my thigh with it. I did it a couple of times and I didn't see any blood. I thought, I must be superman! So I kept on slicing and slicing the skin of my thigh several times to see if I was really superman. After that the blood started to come out. My parents freaked out when they saw my whole thigh covered in blood. That's when I realized I wasn't superman after all. LOL

Omg painful! I did something similar to that but I was older. Haha. When I was in middle school someone told me to rub an eraser on my skin. Well I didnt feel anything happening and I thought that the eraser was wearing down because I saw little flakes of it on my arm. So I kept doing it until I got bored. Turns out that was my skin. It burned me and I had a huge welt from rubbing my skin off. Gah. It hurt so bad. Talk about a delayed reaction.

Yaiks! At least you did not get a 3rd degree burn. You must have felt like a warrior - the battle continues - when you continued helping the customers. Yes, you are right, the boss should warn everyone, it is part of his job description after all.
