hello, biggerb. There is a saying that blood is thicker than water, so relatives are important. It is also said that we are all brothers and sisters as long as we live in the world, so persons who can meet and know are important to others and the friends are certainly important. I think either relatives or friends, as long as they love you and you love them they are all important. It is really hard for me to make a choice and I hate the test to choose one whom you will save or help when there is a crisis. Or who will help me more. All these are determined by many factors, right? When it comes, the result is clear. So, now, love them and do not care about so much.

I am much more closer to my friends, when it comes to sharing my problems and stuff like that. Not sure how to explain it, but I guess am not alone lol. Even my friends when I ask them the same question. We have a common answer. Maybe that would be the reason why we are friends after all. friends do become are extended family. Friends like a family member you can always count on.

I used to think I was closer to my brothers and sisters. However after some sad events I realise it is truly my friends who are there for me with unending support. I was raised to believe family first and I hope my children will have that kind of relationship. Unfortunately, for me, after both my parents passed away I found the relationship I had with some of my siblings weren't what I thought they were. I am fortunate that I do have some friends who are the most amazing people and I now consider them my family.

I think we all grow up with so much attachment to our siblings and a day dawns when we realise how we have been taken for a ride.It really hurts.I am happy for you that you have found solace in your friends.
