Are you involved in your kid's school?

If so, why? If not, why not? What would convince you to get involved? I'm part of the PTO. What do you think of the PTO?

Whe she was on her first school year - nursery. I make it sure that I was the one bringing and picking her up in her school. That I checked her work and assignment on a daily basis. I communicated with her teachers weekly to check her school performance or every subject performance. So I can help improved her weaknesses. After her nursery, i noticed, when she is already on kinder, she is already doing great on her won. Less supervision and guidance. She even make it on the top of her class.

My son is only 17 months old so he isn't in school yet. I do think I will be involved with his school when he goes though. I stay at home with him (and watch a few other kids too) so I think I would have the time to help out in the classroom and with sending stuff for parties and helping out with parties and stuff like that. I'm not sure if I'd be part of the PTO or not cause I don't really know what all is involved with that.
