How many kids do you wish to have?

Ideally, how many kids do you wish to have? Do you have exactly what you want? For us, we don't have kids yet but part of our plan is, of course, to have our cutie angel/s in the future. For now, we want to have just one but we're also considering to make it two depending upon our financial stability in the future.

Fiancee and I haven't got kids yet, maybe until after the wedding and we are planning to have two kids, a boy and a girl if possible. But if in future we are financially stable then we can add 1 more. I really wish I get a pair/twins once and for all. Please God help me. I love twins.

lol I was telling some one the other day, it's never the people who want twins that get them. :) God does have a sense of humor. ;)

Hi crazed_moma! You're right, sometimes those who wants twins are not given. Likewise, there are couples who are dying to have kids but not granted also BUT there are couples or people who doesn't want a child who got pregnant easily. It's really funny sometimes. *wink*

Hi shy_gal! I am happy to know that both of you and your bf love children. Yes, I agree with you no matter how we wish to have more kids but if our financial situation doesn't permit us to have more, so we will really be forced to cut off the number in order to make sure we can give them a good future.

I have 2 little girls ages 3 years and 19 months. I had them so close in age I am going to wait before I have more. Ideally I want about 4 kids, I am still very young so I am going to wait a good 5 years or so before thinking about another child.

I understand what you mean. It's good that your first and second born have a closer age gap. As for me and my brother, we have a 7 yrs gap which is also not good in a way. When I was in elementary grade my brother is already in college so I am basically alone in our parent's house because he moved to the city.

If God's will that I will have my own family, probably I want to have a small family. I came from a small family. My parents have only two siblings and that includes me and my older sister. If given the chance, I want to have two or three children and I am already satisfied and happy with that living with my future lovely wife. God speed!

Same here, I also come from a small family. I only have one older brother that's why one or two kids is enough already. Thanks for responding!

30, in a classroom. That way I teach them and send them home. Also, they would contribute to my financial stability. Seriously, I had planned on adopting one child to help out in this world. But I never had a stable job/income for long enough. But I did, for a few dollars a month, help out a child through the Christian Childrens Fund for many years. From the time she was 6 until she was 16. Then I received a letter saying that she no longer qualifed to be in the program and asking me to sponsor another child. That seemed pretty cold and now I don't know whatever happened to her. So I did 'sort-of' adopt one child for 10 years. Interesting topic, take care.

Hi Writersedge! I used to have a company of kids like what you mentioned here when I teach before. It was a very interesting experience but they made my head go round too when they misbehave. Friend, I salute you for being so generous and helpful to those kids who are in need of assistance. You touched their lives in a way that sometimes you don't think you do. I have high regards to people who are like you. I hope you will be able to help more kids.

Before marriage my husband and planed to have two to three kids but sorry that we could only manage to get a single kid only. I only feel sad that my kid doesn’t have any siblings to accompany him all the time. Anyhow we are very happy to have such a small family as we have much freedom and convenient whenever we want to go out else where lol I haven’t experienced any life of big family and I wonder how lively the atmosphere will be.

I can't also tell you lkbooi how it is to be in a big family coz I also come from a family of 4. I have only 1 older brother. Well, during my time it's kinda lonely even if I have a brother because our age gap is 7 years and when I was in elementary/graders my brother went already to college in the city, 2-3hrs away from us. We'll my cousins who have 3-4 sibblings said, it's merrier but the craziest if there'll be a fight.

I don't have any and I don't want any. I can't stand kids, I don't want kids and the very idea of pregnancy makes my skin crawl. Hopefully I'll turn out to be infertile.

I have zero kids and I see in our future zero kids. We like to hang out and have fun and kids aren't a part of that in our lives, that is too much responsibility for me.

Yeah, I heard about China's one child policy. Kinda sad for some who wish to have more babies but opted not to because of the fine that awaits them.

Since I was little I was always one who, when asked, would literally give a "heck no" when asked if I wanted to have kids in the future. I've continued to say that until the last year or so. I've been thinking I might actually want to have a child but due to health issues I'm not sure I can :(

I want to have just a single child. I have a baby boy right now and my baby is already one year and 4 months old. my wife however wants to have two children. she thinks it would be lonely for my baby boy to be alone in our family so she wants another child. as of now I am not yet convinced and sold out to have another child. I do not know yet but I would consider having another child soon, but as of now I do not want another child yet. children are cute and nice and wonderful but the responsibility to grow a child is also huge so if you can not provide for your child's needs I think you should consider of not having more children. two to three is just enough.

I agree with you rouwel. As a parent, the first thing that we are going to consider is the welfare of the kids. If we think we can't provide it at thist time then I guess we need to wait a lil more until everything is fine. You definitely come up with the best decision for your family!

two would be perfect. since everything now a days is becoming more expensive, i think two is just right so that they will have someone to be with when parents are gone. i have one daughter and wish to have another child soon.

I agree with your reason. One is a lil bit lonely. As for me, even if I have an older brother but since our gap is 7 yrs so there are still times that I feel I am alone, no one to play with in the house if my cousins are not around..

When I was younger I wanted children, but once I entered my teenage years, I realised that I don't want to bring a child into the world as it currently is. I will however consider adoption or fostering in the future, as there as so many children in the world without homes, support and care.
