How do you spend a rainy afternoon

It tends to be that way at the coast a lot. I lived in Penticton for 23 years and it was pretty good but the coast has always been rainy as I remember it. I used to love walking in the rain, just love it. I have asthma and older now and since I don't always get around very good I don't do that anymore. Your post was so peaceful though. I thought how nice it would be sharing a cup of coffee and a butter tart with you. It would have been a good day for a visit but I live several hundreds of miles away. Take Care!!!

Hello Robin! - sometimes, i don't care rain or sunny day! I put my raincoat and boots and i go directly in the rain for a nice good energetic walk in wate LOL my dog has so Funnnn then! Both we enjoy fully! At home, a good book, sitting at computer emailing or surfing MyLot haha ...or Some Cooking making the house smelling wonderful, but NO & NO Housecleaning! It's my relaxing time! Pretty much how I spend my sunny days. I stay home I watch tv play videogames mainly halo 3 bioshock and nba2k8 which are awsome games. I also try to post as much as I can to make a lot of money on mylot which is awsome. I also sleep more on rainy days because the rain for some reason makes me very tired I dont know why it does but it just does.

there are lots of things you could do in a rainy day. sleeping is one thing that you could do. I like to watch television during rainy days. reading a good book is another thing we could do. I also like to just talk and spend time with my family during the rainy days. Rainy days gives us all the more reason to stay at home and do what we need to do. there are many indoor games that could be played inside the house. monopoly, scrabble, chess are just a few board games that can be played inside the house. I could also exercise at home by using sit-ups or just doing squats or handling dumb bells and barbels. but if it would rain consecutively for more than a week then it would really get boring inside the house. if it would rain consecutively at least just three days.

I spend it on the internet or watcing a movie, maybe take a nap.

Well, that would be today, and I spend it on the computer making chump change for my savings account,lol.

Well, I live in such a terribly drought-stricken area now, I can barely remember! But yes, like you, I think it's a great opportunity. Although sleeping a lot when it's raining isn't such a bad thing, depending on how you feel about it. I see it as a great time to read, watch a movie, make some popcorn, stay indoors in my pajamas and talk on the phone.

being that i live in the desert and we very rarely get rain..whenever it does rain i always end up sitting on the loveseat right in front of the open windows just staring out at the rain. i actually tend to get less done on rainy days than any other day. the rain just seems like such a treat that it must be admired lol!

I dont normally stay home on rainy days they always come up with I am doing something work, school, or such. But at our other house if I was home I used to love to lay on my bed and listen to the rain. Mind you I hate thunder storms but just rain was fine. If I am home maybe read, watch tv, play video games, or nap. Tons to do indoors I do it all the time when its not raining so yeah :)

I love rain. I love the cold feeling because i love to zip coffee or make soup. I love to sleep, so when its raining in the morning,i always end up late at work because i so so asleep because of the climate.

My place was strucked by a terrible typhoon yesterday. There was heavy rain and wind, however,I still had to attend classes.So, much of my day was spent braving the harsh weather, and getting myself all wet. That's really nightmare for me.

I work. So unless it's a nice rainy weekend I still have to go to work. However, if it's a nice weekend when I can just stay home, it's nice. I love it. I just stay in with my kitty. I watch movies. That's my favorite thing to do. Just hang out in my living room and watch some good old fashioned movies. That's the same thing I like to do on snowdays, on the weekend also. I never get off work for snow. which is super lame as I work for the library and people don't go to the library on snow days.

Hi Robin.... I love to cook a pot of vegtable beef soup on a rainy day. The aroma makes me so hungry and eating it just makes my insides all the more warmer. However though, while cooking, I like to put together a puzzle, read a good book or cross stitch. I'll even find something that needs doing such as clean out a closet which can be fun because I end up finding things that I've long ago lost and I get a great feeling of doing something that so needed doing.

I like to bake too and make homemade soups when it's rainy or chilly out. I also like to do some stamping or other crafts things or work on my writing while listening to some soothing music!

i prefer sleeping on a rainy afternoon. nothing beats sleeping while listening to the raindrops fall....and not at work. hehehe

i just spend that time playing on the computer, playing video games, or draw.

Hi Robin. I love to make soup for dinner on a rainy day. Something about it is so soothing to the mind, body and soul. While it's cooking for a few hours, I like to cross stitch, work on puzzles, read a good book, rent a movie/watch a tv program or play games with hubby or a friend or even make crafts if I have any ideas of some. There's always something to do if a person looks hard enough. Even cleaning out a closet can be fun for you could find something that you lost so long ago or find things that are interesting to tell about.

Hi Robinj, Being from the South, I love the rain. I don't particularly care for thunder, but love the rain. It is what I call sleeping weather. After I am well rested, I like to cook a soup, and do a bit of baking. Fresh bread to go with the soup, and maybe an apple pie for dessert. Cookies are fun to make too. I usually have to work, but sometimes I get home from work before it starts to rain, then I nap for a while. I like the smell of the air after a rain. It smells so fresh and clean. I also like walking in the rain once in a while. It is something that I used to do as a teen, and totally enjoyed it. Other times, if it is too cool, I will just stay in bed for hours before getting up. I just lay there listening to the rain hitting the roof. It is so soothing and relaxing. Happy posting..

hi, robinj. I think you are a person who can enjoy yourself well. I am envious of you because you can do such things. If I am at home when it rains, I will help my mother do some housework ,cook our favorit food while talking with each other. Fahte may go out to play the chess with others. The task to call him back for meal is also put on me. HAHA~~~ Those are such happy times, and good memories! It is raining now but I have to work!
