I got the opportunity this weekend to use the cuddle bug. I really like what it does...so I went out to JoAnn's fabric last night to try to use a coupon to get if for half price as it's very spendy. It was already on sale so I couldn't use the coupon and so I am going to wait to see if I can get a deal at Michaels..do any of you have the cuddle bug and if you do which plates do you suggest buying. My friend has the bubble background and several others.

It's an embossing machine...you have these plates and folders..the folders have differnt designs on them...you cut the paper to fit the folder....put it between the plates and crank the handle and your paper suddenly had little hearts....flowers....birds...whatever on them. It just adds so much to so many things...I do alot of cards...makes a perfect background for them!

Hi! great to hear a discussion on scrapping. At least I think this is the cuddle bug that I have heard of. It's like a quickutz embossing and die-cutting tool right? I don't have a cuddle bug. But I have a quickutz squeeze. And I have the blossom series of alpha die cuts. I bought both at a discount from someone on a scrapbooking forum. I don't have any embossing plates, which i assume is the bubble background you are referring to. The great thing to have in scrapbooking is friends who share the hobby. Then we can share tools and all!

Yes. It's an embossing tool and I just love it. It has envelopes you put your paper in and it embosses them.....I am now doing Valentines for the Troops and bought the heart envelope! I love it. Also can use it for scrapping. We have big get together weekends with my sister and sister in law and also my daughter in law! Like you said it nice to share as we don't all have the same punches etc. Thanks for posting! I have never heard of the quickutz...I'll have to check that out!
