Do you have or want any tattoos?

I was just watching LA Ink and I've been thinking for a while I would like a tattoo. Something in a place that I can easily cover. I was thinking maybe a lotus on my foot or something. Do you have any tattoos or want one? What is it of and where is it?

I have lots of tattoos (on my back, forearms, ankle, calf, etc) and I absolutely love them! If you are considering your first tattoo, give it a lot of thought before you go to the shop. You want to make sure that you find a design that is meaningful and powerful to you and then an artist who specializes in the style you have chosen. There are three articles on Associated Content that I wrote about choosing a design, a location and an artist. If you are interested in reading them, my username on AC is Mavy. I hope they help!

What great advice CouldaShoulda. I have 6 tattoos and wish someone would have suggested that to me before getting my first one. Not that I regret any of my tattoos or anything, I just think I would have waited longer instead of getting my first one the day after I turned 18 so I wouldn't need my parents permission lol.

Hi there. I have a few nice tattoos, that are meaningful to me in there own way... I have a dragon across my foot, a harley davidson motor on my upper right arm, a vine around my belly button, a tribal design of my native on my lower back and a couple of japanese symbols on the inside of my right fore arm... I think once you get your first tattoo, it can become addictive to get another lol... Watch out... The pain is like, a burning-cutting sensation...

The pain is the one thing that stops me from getting it done right now. I've heard from almost everyone I know that has tattoos that once you start you can't stop. Most people have more than one. Your's sound great.

what tattoo you chose should be very meaningful to you. A lotus is a very powerful symbol. Personally I always wanted on of Brian frouds Smashed fairies on my bottom.

That would be so funny. And only a select few would get to see it. That's great.

Honestly maybebaby I have 6 tattoos and I am still not done. I want my next one to be of a teddy bear holding a rose with my daughters full name and birthdate. They are very addictive, and nowhere near as painful as I thought they would be. Then again I also have a very high tolerance for pain! Pµrþ|ëTëddýßëâr

I never want to have tattoos. First of all, I can't stand the pain to have it. Secondly, if one day I am tired of it, it is not easy to remove it. Thirdly, sometimes people will think the one who has tattoos is the bad guy. So I won't consider to have it.

First a lotus on the foot would look great but I dont think thats a good idea if its going to be your first tattoo because that area is real painful to get tattooed. I have two tattoos. My daughters name and birthday on my right shoulder blade..thats a work in progress, when I find something beautiful that fits my daughter I'll add it. My newest is a bird (my phoenix) on my left side..That was real painful once he got off the hip and worked his way up the ribs Heres a pic of my newest

I have no problems with tattoos. I personally don't have any and may or may not plan to get one in the future .. i haven't decided if i want one or what it would be if i did decide. The only time I have concerns about people getting tattoos are when they go in on a whim and don't know what they really want. I have friends that have a tattoo shop and have turned away people before because they don't want to just tattoo whatever on someone just because they want a tat. My husband has many tattoos and each one has a specific meaning and memory. I personally think most tats on people look great.
