Boolmooch - How does it work?

Yesterday somebody introduced me to bookmooch.com and I immediately became a member. From what I understood I have to add 10 books I want to give away and with that I get a point to get a free book. After I do this, do I end up with my 10 books exchanged for another 10 I want plus the free one? Or do I end up with just the free book and loose my 10? Can anyone please give me a guide. I am new to the website but very very interested.

I know this discussion is a little old, but hopefully I can explain it for you. You get 1/10th of a point for every book you add to your inventory. After 10 books, you get one point which you can redeem for a free book within your country. The more books you add to your inventory, the more points you can get. I have over 70 books in mine which means I got 7 points to get free books just for listing them. If you want to mooch a book from out of your country, typically it will cost you 2 points. If someone wants to mooch one of your books within your own country, you get 1 full point for that. If they are out of the country, you will get either 2 or 3 full points depending on how far you are sending the book. Hope that helps!
