Bioshock 'shocks' people?

Actually i just starting to play the game, but i have heard bout that there's was a scene that really will get shock on that... Is that true? please tell me, let me get ready on it!

Na it not that scary but there are people that come at you with a rod or something and its a bit dark at the beginning but its a very good game
