Had to crack out the winter wear this morning

It was so cold here this morning I had to drag out all the winter wear for the kids to go off to school. Winter coats, hats, and mitts. Now I am washing up all the rest of the stuff to have ready. The kids didn't want to wear them saying they didn't think anyone else was wearing any yet, but it was too cold to just have fall gear on. Are you in a place that is getting colder now? Have you had to wear mitts or hats yet?

Hi vicki, Here in Sask it has has been that cold that we have had to take out the winter jackets, hats, mittens, boots, etc. All I can say is it better be ok weather for my daughters first year trick or treating or I won't be happy lol. Your Friend, PurpleTeddyBear!

Either rain or the white stuff would really suck at Hallowe'en. I wish for just one year it would be nice enough to just wear the costume without a huge winter jacket on underneath lol. Your Friend, PurpleTeddyBear!

When I was in Toronto we just had to wear the costumes on Halloween but here in Nova Scotia I have to make the costumes big enough to put a winter jacket underneath it is that cold. I just hope there isn't rain or we will get drenched.

We are still running the AC in the late afternoons here in South Caroline. It is to be cooler today though Down in the seventies and sixties at night. I'm glad it's starting to cool off. My granddaughte is going to the fair today. she spent the night with a friend and had a hard time decideing what to take. Long sleeves or to go sleeveless. It's still warm eouhg for sleves

Yea I hear ya! I had pulled out the winter coats last week to wash and see if they fit the kids (they don't so they'll be needing new ones agian this yr) and starting today I'll be packing away the summer clothes and pulling out the cold weather stuff...We've not needed mitts and toques yet but considering we had a blizzard last October, I wouldnt be surprised if we did need them soon LOL

I had the not fitting coats last year. My budget is lucky the coats I got last year still fit. YEAH! But the mitts and hats, I can pick up a dozen in the fall and be down to one come spring, so it looks like I will have to yet again stock pile more of those. Thanks Raven

Yeah it is up and down here. Today they didn't need so much as it was a bit warmer but it is nice to be ready, just in case. Thanks

I wish! Yesterday, October 9th, it was almost 90 degrees outside. It rained last night and supposedly the fall weather is finally coming. It's maybe 70's to early 80's today. I think it'll get to the 60's by the weekend. I LONG to wear my hoodies and scarves.

Wow it is so warm there. It is so cold here already. I love having the windows open to get fresh air but it is such a chilly wind it is freezing the house. You need to come here and enjoy it for me. HEHE

I love the snow when I don't have to drive in it or shovel it. But since I am the big person in the house I have to do both, so I don't like it.

I don't like cold at all while the weather here in Cairo is not like yours at all here no snow nor rain except few times all the winter inspite of this. Room heaters are not necessary. As a nature creek I travel to coldest regions of India during winter! When I am there I use bonfire and the sleeping bag. To generate heat in my body I hold my stomach tightly in the cold regions. I wear very heavy clothes and I go out for work only then return home watching TV or sitting on my computer nothing more but in summer I go out all the day.

It was chilly here this morning, but is supposed to warm up a bit. My son wore shorts to school today even though it was 55 degrees out because he has marathon kids after school and he will be running a mile. Not an easy thing to do in jeans. He did wear a jacket to school though. The weather here is weird. I put pants and a long shirt on the baby when we left for the grocery store yesterday and by the time we got out of the store it was too warm to wear those clothes.

It does go up and down here too. But it seems the chill is sticking around for a while now. For my kids we pack up gym clothes and the school lets them change into the shorts before they have sporting days so that helps them to stay warm when it is chilly, but it is harsh on the laundry loads. HEHE Thanks lilybug
