I have discovered this morning a new post in the Adsense blog about Google's last Ads format i.e. Video units. Publishers will first need to sign in for a You Tube account or to integrate their existing You Tube account with their Google account. Next, they will need to choose a player and a videos category (say news, music...). Google will then generate some HTML code that the publisher will have to post on his/her web site. These Ad units work the same way as text and image Ad units. This means that publishers will get a cut from clicks or impressions. I have noticed the new players recently on You Tube and I am actually using one on My profile here with some of my favorite songs. Though, I never suspected Google to be planning to use these players in Adsense. I checked my Adsense account this morning and I still did not get the option that will allow me to set video units. It is not available for everybody yet. Are you able to set video units from your Adsense account? Are the videos being played targeted to your website? Do you think that video units will allow you to make more money with Adsense?
