if you were trapped in an island....??

It would depend on where the island was and how large is is. If it were in the tropics the heavy clothing would not be needed as much as if it were in the colder regions of the world. Assuming that this island were in warmer water whee there are no major storms then I would bring a few knives, hooks )for catching fish), mirrors (metal so that they do not break and can be used to start fires for cooking. Books would also be nice so that I could read when doing nothing else. I think that I could improvise most of the rest of the stuff that I needed.

Do something useful. Using what is available resources in the island. Until a year there someone catch your SOS sign. If not, there we go, build a ship trial and error. Then one day your ship will be perfect to go for sail anywhere you like.

i not sure what i would want to bring. How would you know you are going to be traped for a year?? that frist thing that comes to my mind. I mean there would be lots you would need but i am sure you wont be able to be prepared.
