Are you a good sister or brother?

Hi tujiagirl! No one is perfect in this world. We commit mistakes sometimes, but we can correct it in the long run. I adviced you to talk with your brother frequently. In that manner, you will be able to share your own thoughts and opinions and you're bonding as a brother and sister will be strong. I always do that to my sister, though we're quite busy sometimes. i don not know if i am a good brother...all of my friends wanted me to be their brother because of my friendly attitude but to my real brothers and sisters they don't like me...i accept that i am a very strict brother...what i am thinking is the goodness of my brothers and sisters and because of this they don't understand my intension why i made some restrictions for them to follow...

I try to be a good sister. I am the younger sibling to my older sister. She has watched out for me at times. Our daily lives are busy and we live 3 hours apart, but when we really the other to be there we are there for one another. Just listen to your brother. See what he likes and dislikes. Get to know him is where you can start. Go to lunch with him or something like that.

well its not too late..make time for him..dont expect miracles overnight.nurture your relationship. talk to him, do not get angry since it will only tke you far from him. ask him what he likes doing, his fav games and be a part of what he likes. ok...take care..loads of luck!!

Well, I'm not what you call a good sister either. I'm nice to my sisters sometimes... But I don't really like it when they bug me. Well, my advice is talk to him. Say sorry. You regret everything. And you'll try to change. That's all!

My family has never been really close. We don't have any negative feelings between each other but we just kind of stay to ourselves so in my case I'm ok.

I saw my brother for the first time after so many years in August of this year when we dropped in to see him in Vancouver. We live in Manitoba and it is hard to go there as we do not have enough money to go there every year. Also he is not that good at communication, the kind who just says, "yes, no" to questions and is rather introverted. When I see him, I do get along, but it is the communication problem. He does not believe in computers, so I cannot talk to him that way and also, I am not that good at letter writing. I wish he would stop thinking computers are not necessary because then it would be easier to talk to him.

for me im a good sister to my elder brother but i dont know who i am to him .. he is the only one who can tell if i am good or bad sister...

I am not a perfect sister. I argue a lot with my siblings about trifling things. But they can count on me whenever they need my help.

I'm not in good terms with my brother but I don't think I'm not a good sister. I believe he is the bad one. We can't seem to get along with each other. His preferences are way to far from mine. I don't really need to do what he does, all I need to do is to understand. But I simply can't do that. I can't because I believe that they're wrong so I refuse to. If I give in to his foolish ways, it seems like i'm consenting to his foolishness. It's true that it's really difficult to get along with siblings. It is better to be with friends because they're easier to get along with. I don't know if I can still fix this relationship. Only time will tell. I've tried to be very patient but I've reached the limit. If he doesn't change, then I guess we'll never get along. Good luck with the fixing of your relationship. I know it will require a lot of patience and humility. But its the right thing to do.

There are reasons why we don't get along with our brothers or sisters. It's not that we're bad sister or brother but some reasons make us not having very good relationships with our siblings. If you want to find out the reasons, try to look back when you were kids. Were you close? why? are you a middle child or the eldest or the youngest? Who were your playmates before? There are more and more questions that will eventually lead you to answer why you're not in good terms with your siblings. I found out about it just recently. :)
