Was there a point in your life that you need to disagree with your parents?

They say parents know best.. but I think there are really those times that we need to disagree with them for a reason. How did you handle such situation?

Yes. It was when I decided to leave my homeland to look for a job in a big city. They really wanted me to stay home and just look work there in our province but I really could not see a greener pasture there. My decision was really against their will but I just explained properly to them that it's the future for all of us.

...i do agree with that although i still consider their advice as my guide perhaps while taking my own actions...and at point of arguing i do still give them due respect because they're still my parents and i know their decision(s)was for my own good still....

Right.. since they are our parents, their advice should serve as our guide so that we won't be mislead in life.
