What kind of luggage you have on holidays?

Do you prefer trolleys or shoulder-bags or hand-bags, plastic (samsonite like) cases or tissue or leather suit-cases? A lot of bags or just a little thing? In my opinion the least the best.

I usually take a large backpack that I carry on my back. If I fly with an airline it can weigh up to 20 kilos. I also take a small day backpack that I carry on board the plane as hand luggage. Traveling light is a very good idea. I have always had a lot of luggage but have even more so now I have a baby.

It is fascinating to read my response here. I wrote it three years ago when my toddler son was a baby. Now I have him and he is a disabled toddler plus my baby daughter. My backpack will be heavy this summer when I fly with both of them to Vancouver.

Three of us in the family carry a handbag each and that is it. More luggage means more headacheme. Less luggage is more comfort. I do not remember I ever carried a suitcase.
