It's Cloey's world and we just live in it. That's our cat's motto. She's the queen of the castle and reminds the dog daily who is the boss.
We've never had a kitten/cat and she's been the most interesting animal we've owned. Like the fact we can travel or go out for the evening and she doesn't have to be driven outside to take care of her "catily" functions. Cloey greets everyone who comes to the door and is generally there before the dog. She's friendly and loves people. She's not too fond of other dogs.
Anyone own a cat who has been fun and interesting?

So far, my newest cat, Mimi, does. She's not really fun --- she chases my other cat, Waffles, all of the time and bites me often. But she's been owned by someone else for five years and still has a hard time adjusting to her new home. Nevertheless, I love Mimi. She, like Waffles, is a beautiful calico cat.

We don't actually own cats. But apparently the cat that hangs out in our back yard doesn't know that. She thinks the dogs are things to tease and a closed door means she can start scratching. I'm afraid to let her in because she would rule the inside of my house too.

Your stray friend has adopted your house as it's place to hang out. Maybe he/she is hoping you'll feed her.
We have neighbor's who own a cat and let it run outside all the time. It has tried to get into our house when we open the front door. This same cat was seen running through our backyard with a live baby rabbit in it's mouth. That sickened me.
