I Believe In Prayer

I am the director of the prayer ministry at our church. God has shown me time and time again how awesome prayer is. We have a prayer chain and an intercessory prayer group at our church. The prayer chain works like this. When there is a need they will call me. Then I in turn start the prayer chain. I call the person that is under me on the list and then they call the next one. If they can't get an answer and they have an answering machine they leave an answer and then call the next one on the list. This way we all are praying for the need. For example, we had to start the prayer chain twice today. Then on the intercessory prayer group, we have families signed up that have committed to pray for a family of our church for a month. We check on that family and see if there is any special needs they would like for us to pray for. We have seen God work in so many ways! It is such a blessing to be a part of such a work for God. God has shown me over the years that we have to be persistent in our prayers and not give up. There has been things that I have prayed for for many years and in the past 2 years have seen happen and it is like seeing a miracle every day. It is so awesome! I know God answers all prayers. They may not be answered how we want them answered but He does answer them all, in His own time. So many people seem to think that God doesn't answer all prayers because He hasn't answered them the way that they have wanted them answered. That is not so. He answers all of them! Just some may be with a "No" or a "be patient" or a "wait, not now." I know there are many more prayer requests out there. Be sure to read this blog and enter a comment with your prayer requests. I will be more than happy to pray for you. If you have a few minutes I would ask you to whisper a prayer for me and my family too. We are always in need of prayer and right now satan is not liking where our lives are headed and he is trying in many ways to discourage us but we know WHO is in control satan, get thee behind me. God is in control. So if you have needs, please, PLEASE, don't give up on asking for them but be sure to ask that God's will be done. If you have a special need or prayer request, just comment and I will pray for you.

prayer is SO powerful. and it works if you're patient and trusting! i need prayers concerning our home loan, that we get approved and that we can get into my g-pa's house. that way it stays in the family, it's just blocks away from a school, it's in a great neighborhood and we'd be getting one sweet deal on it! but need the funds so that's scary. and finacially we need prayers. not only for the house, but i have been unemployeed for a year now, and my hubby was out of work for the past 2 weeks, we need money. BUT he went back to work today and i'm starting a new job here at the end of the month, SO we are not on God's time, and already He's helping. but a few more prayers wouldn't hurt! as it is tight right now, and we're a lil scared for this month. thanks mama!

Oh, you sweet Freckle! I will certainly be praying for your situation. God will most definitely take care of it, He sees the solution already. We just have to wait on Him. God bless you and keep me posted on how things are going.

I believe in prayer. My Dad is the Senior Pastor in our church. I learned how to pray and God sometimes answer "yes" to my prayers and of course I don't detest God for giving me a "No." or a "Wait". ^^ I love God more than anything else.

You are right. We cannot get upset at God or detest Him when we get a "no" or "wait". God knows best and we do want His will in our lives. Thanks for posting. God bless you.

I think sometimes that we do not see clearly, since we look through a glass darkly, but God sometimes does not answer our prayers because it is not time,or it is not in our best interest,he sees ahead ,and we only see now.

All my respect to your beliefs. Actually the prayer is a kind of affirmation and gratitude in any spiritual practic. So we need some more honesty and deep awareness of it indeed.

To me, prayer is affirming all the good things that are in my life. I hardly ask God for anything, but am always thankful for what I have. I feel if I am thankful for what I have in my life right now, the Heavens will send more of the good stuff to me. I am grateful for you and your prayer chain, since it obviously helps many in need.

Hello mamacathie,I am also a believer in prayer.I have witnessed some mighty works of God in my life...I do have a prayer request that i would really appreciate some prayer warriors to pray with me for.Three weeks ago my ex husband ,father of my five children had an accident on a four wheeler,he did not see it coming,it was dark..he ran into a barbed wire fence and was killed instantly. It was such a shock to all of us...I did love and respect my ex husband,he was the father of my children and i was married to him 38 years,i left him ,not because i fell out of love but he went a little nuts when he hit menopause and i just could not take it any longer,he drank also,,at one time he was a church bus driver, picked up children for sunday school but it seemed the enemy had a hold on him some how...I need prayer for my children and myself but my children mostly, they are still grieving so bad, crying daily and it just breaks my heart..Please pray for my children that the God of peace will surround them with hope and love,I am really afraid for one daughter she sees no reason to go on...I would ask you pray with me to help my grieving children..thank you so much...my childrens names or Sheldon,Rhonda, robert, jason and Stacie

I do believe in prayer. Prayer is very powerful. I have experienced my prayers answered by God. I think it is awesome about the prayer chain you do with your prayer group at your church. Prayer makes us closer to God and be more in tuned to His words and what He is telling you. You are very nice to have offer such prayer request. God bless.

I do believe in praying but at the end of the day I feel whatever we achieve is because of th effort we put in to achieve it and not because we spent hours in church praying to God.

We do have the freedom of choice. God is there for us but we do have to put for an effort to do God's will also. But the hours or minutes we spend in prayer to God do help prepare us for facing the day and making the right choices. Thanks for posting.

Oh, Dear Friend, I will certainly pray for you. I just whispered a prayer for you and will pray for you more. It is a shame that the "friends" we think we have really prove whether they are true friends or not when we are going through trials. Keep looking up and keeping your eyes on God. God bless you.
