Now that I have your attention(lol)how many parents know of or use rubber/plastic pants for everyday use or just when going out on their children? I have been a babysitter for around 40 years and only use cloth diapers/training pants with plastic pants, anyone else?

Not me. I have been a babysitter for 15 yrs and I don't do cloth diapers. I had one parent who was using cloth diapers and I would use my own money to purchase disposable diapers for this child while she was at my house.

Thank you for your answer sunshine, would you mind telling me why? I know it has been many years since the disposables have been out and many do not know about the old ways, but once they learn of the damages done by the disposies, why would they continue to use them? thank you in advance.

They can be sunshine, but not realy a lot more than the others, and you train faster and don't destroy the environment at the same time. but to each their own. thank you for your answer.

No I used the new Potty Pants. Also known as Pull ups! Easier quicker, less mess. Now my daughter doesn't use them. Too afraid of the diaper pins I guess. Didn't want to poke her or myself.

pull-ups,exspensive disposable diapers, you can get cloth diapers now with velcro closers,so the pins do not matter. I found through checking cost and effect, that you will save between $4000.00 to $6000.00 in the first two years of using cloth over disposables and be helping the environment a great deal by using cloth. so no need for pins and save money and the environment. But to each their own, thank you for your answer.

Hi, mac, I was around when they had the cloth, and rubber pant in use, before the disposable! I became very good in using those, after you get used to them, they are not that bad! Yes, the disposable one is so convenient for nowadays, but you girls listen to me, if you ever get infection real bad due to the chemicals in the disposable diaper, you can use the cloth diapers until the rash, or infection clears up! I was fortunate, and every once in a while we had to use them! Not only that, in life you are going to run into things much more gross than a dirty diaper!! Isn't that right mac?

oh for sure musicman,if more people would look into this deep enough, they may find that in some cases, even adults have a use for them,(maybe not the diapers, but the plastic pants for sure) Ever had diarea? thanks for you comment musicman.

When my child is still a baby (newborn-6 months), I use cloth diapers in the morning to avoid my baby having UTI problems. Although I am having a hard time washing it once in a while but I noticed that my baby feels more comfortable. In her 7 months till present (2 yrs), I use undies in the morning and trained her to pee in the toilet room. I only use rubber nappies/diapers during night.

thank you for your answer Marissa,That is good,I hope you are done pretty quick,I also found using the plastic pants when out is a big help as well, this way,she does not get used to going back and forth to diapers. good luck to you both.
