This is a small collection of Comic books I have. Some sold for 20 cents originally so there are some old ones in this collection. The one I like best is the collectors edition of Batman from a few years back. It was published in 1988. It's the issue that had Batman Killed off. was a huge controversy at the time. It's worth a pretty penny to a collector. Do you have or know opf anyone that collects older comics at all? Do they keep or seel these comics? I plan on selling these before I pass away I think. But may just give them to my grandsons when they get older. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

A house I had rented many many years ago was a treasure for me as far as old print itmes etc. I tore a wall out to add more insulation and it was a house well over 100 years old. back in those days they actually used newspapers as insulation. I actually found papers from the very early 1900's prior to cars. HAHAHAHA! Also some that were from the 20's. cars were selling for like $600 new back then. HAHAHAHA! Back in the 1970's my brother was a big Richie Rich comic book fan. He bought one or two every week. He read them and then put them in a box to save them. Well... one day our basement flooded, I mean flooded almost to the ceiling. Everything we had in the basement was ruined, including the comic books. We still talk about that flood.

My brother has collected comics since he was little. They are in those comic sleeves you can buy. He has said since he doesn't have any children of his own that he is going to give them to my sons when they get older.

A few that I have in this collection have not been opened nor read as well. That's what makes them more valuable as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Good collection item to have actually. I mean the serial plot flow of stories in every comic and for comic fan for sure they will just keep it. But your idea to sell it also a good idea. Local folks will know that you are the only one for old comic provider.

My husband collected comic books for a long time, he sold his collection like a dummy for much less than what it was worth. He could kick himself now, but he needed money and that is what he off loaded. I think you have some very good comics that are probably worth a pretty penny. Especially the Batman comic. I would check around to see if there is someone who can appraise them for you and give you an idea of what their worth is. Anyhow, you have a very nice collection there and very well kept. My husband kept them in those plastic sleeves that you have on yours to keep them safe.

When i was a kid all i did was collect comic books. I had over 2 thousand of them, and then ebay came along and I was greedy. I sold 90 percent of them over the course of a year and made around 6 thousand dollars. for the original investment it was great, but now I wish I would have held on to them for my kids. I do not have the 6 thousand dollars anymore and the books would have been worth well more by now. Dont sell unless you really need the money, sounds like your grandkids would be able to use the money later on for school or even save them for their kids. thats my opinion.
