Whether cellphone or landline. Also, what are the reasons for getting a new number?

Not much.. I still have my 1st number, which I bought abt 3 yrs back.. I don't like changing numbers.. It creates a lot of problems.. First u need to store all the contacts in the new sim, and then go on tell every1 that number is changed.. I don't intend to change my number anytime in the future.. I am pretty satisfied with it...

Thanks for sharing that. It's good that you've never lost your phone. I understand how you feel with keeping your number.

Hello sauldejesus. I seldom change me cellphone number. It only happens when I loose my cellphone. And for changing landlines, that can only happen when I have to transfer to another address.

That's good. Do you think it would be fine for me to change numbers because I'm entering a new chapter, so to speak, of my life?

Hello sauldejesus. If I'm in your situation, I would consider changing my number if there's anything in my cellphone or landline contacts or features that reminds me of something that I would like to forget already. If changing numbers is one way to help me move on, then definitely I would do that. Anyways, it would really not be that hard to inform my other friends about my new number. I wish the new chapter in your life would be much more exciting and fulfilling than ever before. Take care :)

Thanks for the suggestion! The new chapter was more of a professional thing as I just recently graduated from college. Then only problem is that the number that I put in the resumes that I sent were mostly of my current one. So maybe I'll change it when I already have a job.

I have not changed my number till date since i had one for my mobile. I have surely discontued with my landline which i did by circualting information to all my friends, clients regarding the discontinuation of that number. Changing a number wont be a easy task i think as ones numeber is already in several phone books and getting the change in number information transmitted to everybody wont be that easy and is surely to cost a good amount too.

Hello: i dont think its good to change your phone numbers ,because contact numbers have become your identity and the way to get connected with others specially when you are businessman or a social person ,you will never be able to give out your number to everyone you know ,so therefore i have 2 cellphone numbers but the primary one is almost 8 years old and still i am using the same number ,because i know its hard to guess how many of people we know can contact us for any reason .........

I usually dont change my cell number or my landline number. Whats the use of changing, you will be paying another amount of money when you change you line. As to my cell phone I have a postpaid line so I dont need to change. I have some prepaid lines in some cell phone lines but I just used it once in a while. Its so hard to change number very often.

Hi! I haven't changed my cellphone number since I bought it 5 years ago. Changing numbers creates a lot of problems like informing contacts and other business related matters. Our landline number hasn't been changed either. However, it's a private number since it was installed because I want to give the number personally.

It is very easy to change the number at cell-phone. Pay a nominal amount with a copy NIC and get your new number. Reason for getting new number is to get the new identity in cellular field. Get new number is due to confine your self among some special group of people to whom you wish to chat a lot or to escape from the unwanted people, who use to disturb you.
