I am a new to this sight as well, I have been writing for fun for a long time but don't know what to do with it. Not to mention too scared to try to get published. In highschool I wrote articles for the paper, was on the literary magazine and now write a lot of stories. What do you all do with your work, do you get a lot of regections?

I, myself, am not a writer but enjoy being on this site. I am a plain, basic person who enjoys life and wants to share funny experiences.
Someone mentioned looking into the site Triond.com. It seems they accept articles. Article writing is above my talent/experience.

This is your right place. I wish i know how to write an article, i don't have the talent, some says i don't have the heart, well i don't understand what is the meaning of that. Anyway, welcome to mylot, there are many co-writers here, mostly they are all in here.

There are a few sites that take articles and post them for anyone to copy. If that was of interest to you, I can pass along a link or two.
If you're looking for someone to critique your work, you're better off protecting it from being plagiarised first, before posting it anywhere....
I would love to read some of your literary works. What type of writing do you do?

Thats writing and there are a few members active in there.
I've also sent in a submission on Arr's thread and plan on making a mini series out of that short story in the near future.
