This ia a movie made in 1960, about a family that inherits a house that is haunted. They have to move in to inherit it. There are 13 ghosts that come with the house. TMC is featuring it tonight and I will watch it again. The first time I watched this movie, I was 13 years old. I was the family babysitter for the day, and I got to take 10 children to the movies. It cost only $.25 a person to get in. We got to watch this movie 3 times that night. The good old days. Where can you watch a movie nowadays for $.25 a person, and 3 times in one day? Please share your experiences at the movies in the good old days. Happy posting..

hi MGjhaud, The Fifth Element was a good movie. I really enjoyed it, and have watched it several times.Have you tried EBay to buy this movie? You might try Overstock.com in their clearance bin. They have lots and lots of movies there. Good luck to you.

They have done a remake of that movie. I haven't seen the original, but the new version is pretty good. Most of my movie watching was on the base theater in Germany in the 1970's and it was either 75 cents or a dollar to get in. Every now and then they would run a marathon for a little bit higher price, but we couldn't wait to get in when we had the cash to go.

The original is on TMC right now on the WEst Coast. I've seen the remake. I wanted to see the original again, since it came out over 45 years ago. Thanks for sharing, and let's enjoy more movies and share. Happy posting..

Oh my, .25 cents to watch a movie, that was a long time ago for me :) My dad was in the military, so on the base at the base theatre I could get in at age 11 for .25 cents. I remember I watched Mackenna's Gold with Gregory Peck and some biker movie, and one of the Shaft movies too. I think my dad gave me like one dollar and that included my admission, large popcorn and large coke to drink. You sure can't get by on that now. Now you have to almost use a credit card just to get a decent size popcorn and a coke! No wonder home rentals are sooo popular, huh? Great trip down memory lane with this one my friend :)

hi appls, Thanks for the response, and sharing your experience. I know what you mean it almost takes a credit card just for the popcorn and the coke nowadays. I rent a lot of movies these days. But today I found some good ones on TMC. This month they are featuring Henry Fonda and the movies he played in. My favorite of his is On Golden Pond with Katherine Hepburn. It's an awesome, funny, and entertaining movie. I think that was also his last movie.

I've seen the newest one but never the old one...I'll have to look for it. I did get to see the old version of House on Haunted Hill and I have the new version and it is so neat to see the two. I thought it was amazing that when the old one came out, they actually had medical staff standing by in the lobby for ppl that felt faint of heart. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

They made a remake of it a few years ago. They did an okay version of it. I like the original best.

hi gradyslady, I've seen the remake, and thought I would watch the original since it's been over 45 years since I saw it last. I have looked for the movie, and was not able to find it. Tonight, I was surfing the channels and found it on TMC. I'm on the West Coast. Pacific time. Happy posting..
