I do believe in God but I think sometimes when something very bad happens to a person it shakes his/her faith in God. A person doesn't understand that if there is a God why would he let this happen to them and they lose their belief altogether.

I'm agnostic atheist. Most of the atheists I have talked to came to the conclusion because they sat down and logically thought about what the Bible said and decided they didn't believe it and therefore did not believe in god.
I grew up believing or wanting to believe what the Bible said but it never made sense to me and the older I got the more I thought about it and the less it made sense so I decided to stop pretending I believed in god.
I believe the Bible is a book written by some men many years ago to teach some basically good life lessons and it was taken way out of context and warped into the religions we have today. I don't believe god created the world or anything else. It just happened this way through millenniums of evolution.
Once I let go of my last bit of hope I could believe in god I felt much better about myself and my life. I felt free for the first time.

How sad!
God created you and loves you so very much! Why would you want to reject Him? He has blessed you so much with a beautiful family and most of all, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place so that you may have Eternal Life.
I pray that you will come to know Jesus Christ!
God bless.

Sorry, but my parents created me, not god. I don't reject god because I don't believe there is a god. I especially don't believe in the Christian god. He has not blessed me. Life has just been good to me for the most part. It just worked out that I have a caring husband and 4 beautiful children. God had no part in it. And you can pray all you like, that is your right, but it won't make a difference. I will still be a heathen tomorrow and next year and when I die.

Yes God did create you. He knew you before you were even born. You were fearfully and wonderfully made! You are so very special to God!
I don't know what all has happened in your life to make you rebel against God, but He still loves you and wants you to know Him.
God bless.

The atheist should be good traveler travels more than the light, then only he could find & confirm there is no god in this universe. If he had not that capability how he can say there is no God.

I don't believe in the existence of any god. This doesn't mean that I believe in non-existence of god!
I just have not sufficient evidence of the existence of a supernatural entity, aka "god"; also, I think that no belief of anything should be accepted without sufficient evidence, especially something so exceptional as a god.
No one can prove that god exists; and no one can prove that god doesn't exist! But everybody makes up his own idea, based upon the observation of the evidence. In my life there is actually no evidence of a god. Also, I'm provided with a little scientific knowledge which allows to explain most things that believers usually view as the Work of God.
That's why, in short, I call myself an atheist.
