Iruka fans??

I changed my avatar today, after having it be the same for 10 months, the whole time I've been on mylot. My new avatar is of course Iruka-sensei! =)
It's interesting because early on I had a different favorite character, but after going back and watching more of the early stuff again, and reading some of the manga, Iruka has definitely become my favorite character. It's just so neat that he protects Naruto and sees him as Naruto instead of as the Nine-Tails, and also that he is both willing to stand up to the higher-ranked people and admit when he was wrong. His whole polite/fiery thing really interests me too. He's just such a well-developed character for not really being a main character. =)
I know at least one other person mentioned liking Iruka in another discussion with me today, so I wondered how many others were out there? Any Iruka fans? If so, why?

I just love Iruka! I've liked him since I started watching Naruto, and now I'm reading the manga. He has his own past that connects him to Naruto in a way, and I think it's wonderful how he was there for Naruto when no one else was. He stood up to Kakashi before the Chunin exams and I thought that was pretty ballsy on his part. Iruka's awesome. I'm a fan for sure.:)

That makes a lot of sense actually! I put a lot of thought into the things I say on mylot, so I probably look like that when I'm posting. =P
Not everyone has the same tastes I guess. Thanks for responding even though you're not really into Naruto! =)
