I've started writing for them at the beginning of this month...they are an online "citizen" newspaper where the citizens, or "people" lol, submit their own stories and articles and they are published. Whether its opinion, news, night life, politics, etc. - you write about it, and if it's good, it will get published. I've written two articles so far with one on the way. Check mine out if you will, and tell me what you think! (I write for the Houston section - there is Atlanta, Miami, NY, LA, Houston and SF) houston.broowaha.com"Local high school well prepared for attack" and "Jena in Columbia!" are mine...

I have not heard of this site before. Have you heard of Associated Content? Well I have been writing for them for just over a year, I have over 100 articles and videos published. http://www.associatedcontent.com/crystalsciarini

@morgandrake: that was my attempt at sarcasm. I'm a member of AC- I know how it works. ;)

Does this site pay or give you any money for the things you write? Or is it just a for fun website?

While it does not pay, it is an established online newspaper. And unlike some of the pay-to-write sites (AC, CC, Helium, etc.), when you submit your articles, they are still YOUR property...protected by copyright protection. Like, I heard that one pay site wants the article to be their property for one year from the submission date...they can do a lot with your work in one year... :)

Actually, on AC you can publish both ways, exclusive rights and non-exclusive. Either way you get paid the same. Crystal
