Finally, we have a lil chilly temperature right now especially in the morning. In 3 days we were around 53F in the morning but rises to 85F in the afternoon. Since humidity is not high so it's not that hot. Now, I am wondering if I am ready for winter. Gooshh, the air that hits my skin in the morning makes me shiver sometimes. How about you guys, which would you prefer WINTER OR SUMMER? Why?

Winter for the simple reason I hate heat and sweat.

if that's the case then you are really used to cold weather. if im not mistaken hilly places are colder than the down slope.

Though we only have two seasons here in the Philippines, I'm out for cold season. It's not that I don't like summer, but I just can't simply bear the heat and the sweating. I am not comfortable whenever I sweat while I am not doing anything, it's like I always want to take my shirt off I only I could. We don't have AC's here, so we mostly rely on electric fans. Sometimes I just go out and spend some time on the mall, just to keep myself feel comfortable. Just like right now, it's supposed to be cold and rainy here, but the sun is up and the temperature changes unexpectedly. Like it's sunny right now, for just a while the cloud comes in and sky turns dark and all of a sudden rain pours then the sun comes out again.

Well, Raijin I also had a share of the hotness there. I spent 23 yrs of my life there. I also don't like sweating a lot. But I've got too much hotness here in Texas than in our country. Man! It's freakin' hot here last summer because we have a very high humidity content compared there in our country.

I see it on the news here, I don't think I can bear that type of temperature. I believe we are mostly used to 21 to 30 degrees celcius, I'd buy AC no matter how high it would cost because I know I won't survive that weather.

you're correct raijin. actually, if you are going to convert the Fahrenheit temp. here to our celsius there, there's no really a big difference. What makes the hotness here extreme is the high humidity content of the air, ours there is dry air. surely, you can barely survive here on summer if there's no AC, it's a necessary.

I have no preference. I love all the seasons. I live in an area where the weather is very unpredictable. I love the snow....the more, the better. I also love the summer and the beach, the rain and I especially love thunder and lightning storms. The only weather I really, really don't like is when it gets so bitter cold that it hurts to step outside.

OMG! You love thunder and lightning? Sid, I am already 23 yrs old but still I am very scared of that especially. It's so funny because if we have severe thunderstorm and hubby is at work, he needs to call me every after couple of minutes to check on me. Those really frightened me so much.

I think i'll still prefer summer. even if I have lived all through my life in a two weather country the Philippines, I would still prefer the summer season. Of course I also long and curious to know what it's like to be in a cold, snowy country, but talking to some foreigners who said that I shouldn't dream of having snow because of the atmosphere and feeling that it bring (sad, melancholy feeling). I am sure I cannot stand the very cold winter, why? Because in the office I already already cannot stand the coldness of the airconditioner. If I feel cold, I cannot do any work compared to hot weather where at least I can perform my job. Just give me enough water.

I understand your point here red. If I can't also work in a very cold environment, I would also certainly prefer summer. Hey, I am a Pinoy too and I know how beautiful our summer there.

In our side of the globe, we neither have winter nor summer. I have never seen snow in my life, only in tv. We only have rainy and dry seasons. The biggest part of the country is ever green.

though i have not experienced winter yet since i am from the philippines, still i would prefer summer rather than winter because in summers you can do everything you like without any hustle though i know it would be so hot but at least that is not so hard to handle. while in winter, all you gotta do is to stay home because all the streets are covered with snow and there is nothing you can do with that but to wait till the snow fall stops. you cannot even just go somewhere else around because it is too cold and you might die on too much cold cause you the temperature is negative. thats it all you gotta do is stay home turn on the heater.

well, i agree with you. I just migrated here in the US this year and I know Philippines summer is just so perfect but Texas summer is extremely hot especially the air here has a very high humidity content. I'm used to the hotness there but when I get here, Texas summer is really different. That's why I am thankful that it's a bit already chilly right now. At least we already feel the fall temperature. You're also right about winter, your acitivity is really limited during that time.

i like winter more. although summer is good too. but we can not escape from the hot weather in the summer. you can enjoy your life in the winter if you ahve prepare coat. and it is better although it is cold. when we wear enough clothes i do think the winter has gone.

I agree with you...if you just have the proper clothes for winter it's easily be taken cared off..you can go somewhere without feeling the coldness that much but if it's summer if you are going outside then you will surely experience the heat coz you just can't bring a fan..LOL

Well i am not to sure. BUt ithink i like the warmer weather better. Winter here gets cold. Last few days we are lucky if we get up to 50 in the day, ant night been in the 30/s. They say we going to have a hard winter with lots of snow. Where you from?

I'm in Texas. You've got a very cold temperature there. Right now, we're 53F in the morning and around 85F in the afternoon and go back to around 50-60F in the evening. It's a perfect weather right now but last summer we reached around 105-107F but the hotness is way higher than that because of the high humidity content of the air.

I prefer the summer to the winter. I am happy when the days the warm days and when it gets really hot I feel quite delighted. I enjoy the long days with light lasting well into the evening. I enjoy seing the flowers that bloom the start of summer. It is a bit sad when winter begins. The weather cold and frosty, the trees shed their leaves and the evening gets dark earlier each week.

hi marie, as for me i chose the summer place becasue the temperature is not that much cold and that a little bit hot. i prefer this climate because i am usually a sick person during winter. you know, the sneezing and allergic rhinitis comes out. that's why i prefer summer temperature more. good day.

You have a valid reason to like summer over winter. It's difficult to be sick. This will be my first time to experience winter since I migrated in the US on May and I am also a bit afraid that my sinusitis will be back because of the cold temperature. Hopefully not because it makes me very uncomfortable. Likewise, I also hate summer in TExas because it's too hot.
