Have you been to a "Trading Blanket"?

At the Pow Wows that I go to they usually have a "trading blanket where when it is your turn you can put down something on the blanket that you wish to trade. The other people around the blanket will put down things that they are willing to trade for your item (if they wish to have your item). If you see something that you wish to trade for your item you will pick up that item and yours and take your item to the new owner and give it to them, shake hands and say "Good Trade". If there is nothing on the blanket that you want you can say "Sweeten the pot" and then if people really want your item they will put more in the pot so that they might get your item. It keeps going around the blanket until a certain time has gone by or there is nothing left to trade. I have gotten may items that I could not get otherwise by trading at the trading blanket.
