Do you catch strays and take them back to there home??

I am an animal lover and when I see a stray animal with or without a collar I try to catch them and take them home or to the humane society. Just today I had two very cute visitors. They were 2 small dogs. The one took off home but the other wanted in my house. He had a collar on and his name was rocko. He was so cute. Of course my dogs in the house freaking out because she wants to play. His address was on his tag so I took him home. He only lived right behind us. His owner said no matter how many times she fixes the fence he still gets out! Little Hudini dog. I dont mind. If he comes back Ill take him back home. Do you catch stray dogs and take them back to there home??

I do try and catch stray animals if I can because that's what I would want someone to do if they saw one of my dogs wandering around alone. One time I saw a little white dog wandering near a busy road so I stopped the car and was going to go and see if it would come to me. When I opened my car door it came and jumped on my lap. It made my job much easier. It had a collar on and it wasn't too far from home so I drove him back to his mom. She didn't know he was missing and was very happy to get him back.

Weirdest thing. I had to do some errands today and on just as I was pulling up to my house I saw a dog sniffing at one of my trees. He was wearing a collar with a tag so I called and his dad came and picked him up. So weird that I responded to this discussion today and helped a lost puppy.

well yes my friend,if they have tags on them i will try to find its owner,but if no one owns it then i will find someone that can care for it.if i could i would take them all lol.hugs.pattie

We always catch any dogs that seem friendly. Our neighbors have a husky that has figured out how to undo her collar. We've taken her home more than once.
When I lived on base, I was so glad that we had so many good neighbors that would bring my little angel back. My terrier knows how to climb fences, so if we left her outside for any time at all, she would get away. We learned pretty quickly, but sometimes the baby would distract us and she would be gone ten minutes later when we went back out. She always came home on her own if someone didn't get her, butI was still concerned someone would get her and keep her or take her and turn her in to animal control.

lately, i found a stray kitten along the way. she is still a new born and my suspect is that her mother left her because she was chased by dogs.anyway, i took her home. fed her, give her a good home and i noticed later that she is a female. she's been with me for quite a month now and she is growing fast. i dont have any plans to return her wherever she comes from. she will stay here at home for now.

yeah i am an animal lover but i do not just get those animals who are stray because i am sure that they are just lost on their way and that they are looking for their owners or neither their masters. so for i will just leave them and let them do the thing they are trying to do.

hi... i am a great animal lover too. i feel very sad when i see stray animals being left un attended on the roads. they have to take care of themselves, they have nothing to eat, no place to sleep.often they are abused by the local people, beaten up. the street urchins physically abuse them. often we can see dogs and cows with broken tails and limbs walking on the roads. but i am unable to do anything as i cant take everyone to my home as most probably i will be thrown out by my family members. i call up the local places where such animals r given shelter and ask them to come and collect them.

Yes! Yes yes yes! lol. Whenever i see a stray animal I to catch them. If they have a tag with an address I take them home, if i can find it! lol. If they have a tag with only a phone number i'll bring them to my home and call their owners (always offering to bring the dog home). If te dog does not have a tag I will bring it home anyways, put signs up...keep it for a while and try to find the owners. I'll also keep my eye out for LOST DOG signs.
