what lessons can we pass on from the way we are currently life on this earth? your answer(s) could be positive or negative...I'm just curious what you believe future generations will look back to our era and how they will describe it.

When you talk of lessons that we are going to pass on for the future generations I am only reminded of what our parents and grandparents passed on to us, either by demonstration or sharing of their experiences. Fundamental faith in the existence of God , conviction that one should do one's duty with detachment[Courtesy-Bhagavad Gita],the necessity to lead a peaceful contented life [ with a competitive spirit and not a maliciously jealous spirit] would be what I would like to pass on within my narrow family circle, if I am given the chance. All the other ways of life and modes of living are likely to change from time to time and our generations would only take what suit them. Now how would they look on our era and how would they describe it?-It may not be far from what we think of bygone eras -can we imagine our life in those years ? We cannot. I feel that they may also not bother too much.

well there are many positive as well as negative things with whom our generations are going to relate us. first of all there's no doubt it would be known as technology's era as it's only in recent 20/30 years that technology has grown up rapidally and been included in our daily life. then recently the world has come closer than recent centuries. negative things would be of course global warming. then it would be marked as the era of terrorism. it's all i can think of right now but i believe there are many here who would point out the things which i am missing!:)

We are the first generation who will probably not be able to leave our kids better off than when we were kids. I can remember when my father worked. We had a very nic house, cars etc and my mother did not have to work. His house payment for the house and two lots was $120 month. Cars were cheap too. We have created instant access to almost everything. We use disposable diapers. Our whole lives seem to be disposable. Technology has exploded and someday may solve many of the questions of life. On the other hand our children will live with pollition, rising costs for everything and the shrinking or disappearence of the"American Dream". In order to just stay even they will have to work for more and more money and get less and less for it. My first house was $25,000. That wont cover a down payment now.

That is why we have have to be a good creator to our life history and be somebody in this world, be good and best for all. Without any invention or creation, I think, our own generation will not have articles or journals to read about who we are for their remarkable referrer and for them to be proud enough about their ancestor.
