Best video game system?

I also recommend the Nintendo Wii. It's a great system for both the casual and hardcore gamer. It's cheaper than the other 2 next-gen consoles. It's a really good console to play on with friends and family. My little cousins go crazy over it. Whenever they visit it's the first thing they want to do here. I'm especially fond on the motion sensor controls. I can't get enough of bowling on Wii Sports! I always have to challenge my boyfriend or friends to a game. :P

I like the Wii. I think the Wii is good cause you can actually get up and "participate". My mom has a Wii at her house for her fiance's kids which are 7 and 11 and they play it all the time. I even play it with them sometimes and I have fun. My hubby has the playstation 2 but I very rarely play games on it but he enjoys it.

I would also recommend a Wii; it would be perfect considering the ages of your children and it would be something that could become a family activity. The Wii is also prone to being a more "active" system, allowing you to get movement in and actually exercise according to some people. I enjoy the Wii... we have fun with the Wii Sports game; there are even more complex games that your husband could get into if he's a gamer. Since you specifically said kid friendly, the Wii is the beest bet. Nintendo is the best in terms of games for children; the XBox 360 (which I also own) and the PS3 are geared towards older gamers.

I mentioned to my 14 yr old that I was thinking of getting a Wii and he said that it isn't as good as the ps2 that they already have. He said that there are better games with the playstation. I guess that it really depends on what your kids like to play.

Get a Wii. It comes with Wii sports which is a great gateway game and it shows how cool the wii is. Plus you can get wii points to buy downloadable games form Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Turbografx, N64 and now NeoGeo.
