I was with my friend at a Karaoke Lounge singing our hearts out when the song "Lucky" by Britney Spears came out.
One of my friend picked that song out to sing. As I was listening to the lyrics, suddenly it struck me! This is almost like her singing about her life!
See what I mean by reading the lyrics at

It is like she is singing about her life, and this was done way before she even had a boyfriend!
The parallels between the girl name Lucky in the song and her life is really uncanny!
I wonder if you share the same thoughts as I did when I saw the song lyrics flashing on the Karaoke machine and the reports of her life recently in the papers. Did you?

I think it is about her life, but I also think that Britney is messing up a lot of things on her own, and it's nobodys fault but hers. For example: it's almost obvious that she really doesn't care that much about seeing her kids. She's a mother of two now; she really needs to get her act together.

Yeah... it is a sad turn in events, isn't it?
I guess she is still not mentally ready for the next step in life after she got rich and famous.
There will come a day when she will wake from her partying stupor. By then, it would be too late for her to regret all that she has done.
I can only pray that her kids are properly brought up and not tread down the path of apathy due to their history.

I agree with you. I like most of Britney's songs, well, before she went "out of control". And the song "Lucky", was one of my favorites. The first time, I learned of the lyrics, I knew that it must be about her life. She is terribly famous but that popularity have failed to make her happy.
I guess that's why from being the most-loved pop star especially by kids and teenagers, she's now being badly criticized for her actions and decisions. She was lucky for being so famous but so unlucky to feel the contentment she seeks.
