How many of you have read "The Sandman"?

I started reading a graphic novel called "The Sandman". I started with volume 6: Fables and Reflections. The graphics are really great and the story of Neil Gaiman is really creative/imaginative. I haven't seen a copy of the first volume but from internet searches, the story of the Sandman is really interesting but I can't find volume 1 so I have to order it from our local bookstore just to secure a copy. How many of you have read the Sandman? Is it really as interesting as it is described in its reviews? Please do share your comments on this novel as I am thinking of investing on it to complete the series.

I am reading STARDUST now, and i am enjoying it. Now i want to have a copy of the Sandman. Would you lend me one? :)

Actually, "The Sandman" consists of about 10 volumes but I am trying to secure the first 3 volumes. I'll lend you volume 6 as it is a "stand-alone" novel from the series.
