Why do you think you need to buy ipod touch when you can buy iphone?

I have not fully explored the features of ipod touch but as what I have heard it is like iphone minus the phone... Which would you prefer iphone or ipod touch?

I haven't a iphone but I think that if I buy an iphone I can't use it and the ipod.
