Have you ever made up your own code for journaling. I did, similiar to runic like Futhric - I did this as a teen. I had two or three symbols for each letter. I taught my best friend and we exchanged letters in our own runic. He eventually go better then me - we both had it memorized but he is an artist so he made the letters come out beautifully.
