A question about loan sharks.

How do loan sharks know where you live and who you are? Do you give them your name and address? Do they have someone follow you? I saw a loan shark on TV coming to someone's house and demanding their money even though its only been a week. Do you and a loan shark agree when to pay or does the loan shark tell you when you have to pay them back. Do Loan sharks tell you how much you owe them as in interest? What are their interest rates?

I've never dealt with a loan shark although some bill collectors aren't much different. I don't know much about how they handle it but I do know that if you don't pay it back your very likely not going to be alive very long. I'd suggest stearing clear of them if at all possible.
